Last week, President Trump posted and then deleted a video to right-wing social media network “Truth Social,” which at first glance appears to be a FOX News clip of the President announcing that starting next January, “MedBeds” will be available as free healthcare for all Americans. The video is completely fraudulent, AI-generated nonsense. This is part of a long-running conservative conspiracy theory that frankly rivals Pizzagate in it’s sheer absurdity. It also raises very serious questions about the President’s mental competency, and the credibility of the public health officials who serve under him.
Today, we get to the bottom of this.
I. A Short History of the MedBed
WARNING: This is what “MAHA” actually believes

Back in the 1950s, an alien spacecraft crash landed in the desert near Roswell, New Mexico. Nazi scientists brought into the American government as part of Operation Paperclip reverse-engineer the alien technology, and developed the “MedBed,” which can treat any illness. The shadow cabal that runs the government (and a pedophile ring out of Comet Ping Pong) conceals all knowledge of this from the public.
These same conspirators engineered SARS-CoV-2 out of a laboratory in China, unleashing the COVID-19 pandemic, which was a completely harmless flu-like illness used as a cover by corrupt hospitals to ripoff the American taxpayer. The vaccines produced by Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, however, killed countless millions of Americans and injured millions more. Trump is magically blameless for this.
All of the shadow cabal’s nefarious plans are halted when billionaire Donald Trump, a moral paragon who has never done anything unscrupulous, ever, wins the Presidency for a third time in 2024, and appoints legendary medical crusader Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Together, they are finally going to unseal the government’s classified documents confirming the existence of highly advanced extraterrestrial lifeforms. I suspect MAHA will be waiting a long time for this day to come.
As part of this reveal, they are going to revolutionize American medicine by deploying “MedBeds” in every hospital, which will provide free healthcare to every American; especially those who were injured by the COVID-19 vaccine. However, to qualify, you have to go to a weird website and fork over hundreds of dollars to purchase a “MedBed” membership card, which will ensure you receive “exclusive information about terahertz technology.” This is why we needed ICE to run a domestic terror campaign against immigrants, because they were going to suck up all the MedBed juice before your mom can be saved from her stage-4 cancer diagnosis.
As an aside: nobody can seem to agree on what a “MedBed” actually looks like, who is manufacturing it, or list any sort of technical specifications. Which is how you know it’s legit. As we all know, Donald Trump has never told a single lie in his entire life.
II. A Sinking Ship of Fools
Let’s be frank: Can the President recall what he has or has not said? Can he discern reality from fiction? What does it say about his mental competency when he can be duped so easily by an obviously fraudulent video on social media? If America was a serious country, we would be invoking the 25th Amendment. Instead, we are going down the long and painful road of the “Century of American Humiliation.”

Going against the overwhelming consensus of doctors and scientists here and around the world, our medical establishment now has more in line with the godfather of the modern anti-vaccine movement: Andrew Wakefield, who violated young children with highly invasive lumbar punctures, risky colonoscopies, and other completely unnecessary procedures in an attempt “prove” the MMR vaccine (and Tylenol) caused autism. As it turns out, America does have a “groomer” problem, but it’s not from “The Left” or transgender people. It’s conservatives, yet again.
If you rode the anti-vaccine movement to power in the Trump Administration, and you’re now attached to these irrational debacles over Tylenol and “medbeds,” I have to ask: At what point does your survival instincts begin to kick in? Where is the line where you finally say enough is enough, that you can’t let your professional reputation be destroyed by association with such quackery? Or should we dig you a trench so that you may stoop even lower? Just where is rock bottom?
Or do you make like Jay Bhattacharya, running to the safe space of another white nationalist podcast, this time with disgraced crank Glenn Beck, and declare that the negative blowback from fraudulent claims about Tylenol and autism are merely “Trump Derangement Syndrome” to whine about COVID-19 mitigations in 2025? Do you truly have no shame? Do you lack any self-awareness whatsoever, prioritizing loyalty to a clearly delusional tyrant over scientific rigor?
III. Just How Gullible Have We Become?
Living in a crowded metropolis like my adoptive home of New York City, I’ve noticed an uptick of adults loudly playing videos that are clearly AI-generated in one way or another: the robotic narration voice is often a dead giveaway. While conspiracy theory media has long flourished on the Internet since its inception, it’s important to note how with genAI, this sort of “junk data” has become easier than ever to produce. It’s deeply concerning to consider how one has to share polite society with people that are so easily duped by clearly fraudulent, sensationalist garbage.
It is fun to say “MedBed” and laugh at the ridiculous garbage images, it’s fun to crack wise about “getting frisky in the Presidential MedBed,” and there is a certain snarky glee to be had mocking how anyone could fall for something so thoughtlessly absurd. Yet, people are falling for this crap and are being taken advantage of. The goddamned President fell for this junk, for heaven’s sake.
There’s a very serious competency crisis waiting to explode in our faces. The President clearly cannot discern reality from fantasy, promoting obvious social media scams to his followers. The COVID Cheerleaders we’ve spent years warning about here at the Pandemic Accountability Index, who falsely portrayed themselves as courageous dissidents against oppression, have completely destroyed whatever credibility they had left…in less than a year on the job.
Don’t wet the MedBed.
