As of this writing, it is the spring of 2023, and Monica Gandhi is actively taking a victory lap in her time as a pro-viral influencer and member of the University of California San Francisco faculty. In a month, Monica will be speaking at the UCSF Rosenman Symposium's "Trust is Everything" panel on public health. In August, Monica's book Endemic: A Post-Pandemic Playbook will soon release, even as this same pandemic still rages. She probably genuinely believes she has rightfully earned this prestige. However, there is one small problem:
Monica Gandhi, since as early as 2020, has been nothing but 100% wrong about SARS-CoV-2 and the ongoing pandemic.
This tome before you now is assembled at great personal cost of what some may consider self-inflicted psychic damage at the result of drowning oneself in anti-intellectual slop. This is not a matter of personal opinion - it is a matter of sheer incompetence that even an uneducated layman can point out. We are rewarding failure, and enabling the worst in humanity as many people die or become disabled.
Perhaps by compiling the very worse of Monica Gandhi's statements about COVID-19 into a single document, it will become clear just how indefensible her statement and conducts have become, as well as her continued platforming in mainstream news media. The great institutional rot that has set hold in the halls of UCSF which enable and reward this massive obelisk of failure, that has contributed to the deaths and disabling of so many lives, must be witnessed for its overwhelming ineptitude on the part of Monica Gandhi. Also, we’re doing the YYYY/MM/DD format because I personally dislike you, the reader, yes you - the one reading this right now.

2020/08/08: "A high rate of asymptomatic infection is a good thing. It's a good thing for the individual and a good thing for society." - Monica Gandhi was already worshipping a new disease in the summer of 2020, as our long viral siege was in its heyday, with no vaccines and little treatments available. She was already saying - in 2020 - that people dying and being disabled by SARS CoV 2 infections was "a good thing for society."
Just let that set in for a minute, realizing what will soon follow.
2020/10/12: Monica appears on ZDogg's podcast for an episode titled - "How to Stop Living In Fear of COVID" - "there are people who are truly not actually living right now...if you’ve never come to that understanding that you’re gonna die, your fear will rule everything." Yes, you were in Monica's eyes, a scared weakling for protecting yourself from a new virus that had killed so many which we lacked a vaccine for and have struggled to understand since.
"Well, people are fearful, they’re actually truly fearful of their own mortality. And now I have a new theory that I can only hang out with people that don’t have profound fear about COVID." - This was Monica's sociopathy on raw display - people who didn't want to die, much like all living creatures, were ruining her vibes. That's what Gandhi's advocacy has been all about - a delusion that good vibes will come by giving the virus an unlimited supply of bodies to consume, transmit, and evolve. We're still talking about the original strain of SARS-CoV-2, mind you.
As the first year of the pandemic came to a close, and a brutal winter which took many lives ravaged the nation, Monica Gandhi chose 2021 to embrace her true villain arc. Indefensibly evil, even. Long before countless vaccinated Americans could die or be disabled by breakthrough SARS-CoV-2 infections, Monica was rolling out the blood red carpet for the carnage that follows.
2021
2021/01/24: "The End of the Pandemic" with ZDogg - "you're not gonna die of this," Monica says. Hundreds of thousands of Americans did die of SARS-CoV-2 in fact. Many more millions disabled. No apology from Gandhi has been made.
2021/01/31: "All arguments on messaging and who can be the most doom-filled will go away." - again, the desire for good vibes overwhelms the responsibility of facing the current crisis as many are growing sick and dying in early 2021.
2021/02/08: Agrees with pro-infection advocate Stefan Baral of GBD-adjacent fame that “variants [won’t] cause a third wave of COVID19 in coming weeks or months across Northern Europe or North America.” She was completely wrong. Oops!
2021/02/14: India has "herd immunity" from natural infection, says Monica Gandhi. This was objectively 100% false.
2021/02/22: "Variants, shmariants, okay?" on ZDogg. Since then, many new variants of SARS-CoV-2 have emerged, including Delta, Omicron, and it's many sublineages which have killed and crippled so many. Whilst Monica was rambling on a podcast, citizen scientists like rural schoolteacher Ryan Hisner were doing the important work - without a salary or the backing of a university. Where is his gala party and book deal, as someone with actual contributions to make?
"We will get to herd immunity [in April 2021] & it will all fall away," says Monica. This obviously did not come to pass, as it is May of 2023 at the time of writing, and many people are still dying or being disabled by SARS-CoV-2.
2021/03/04: "I genuinely with all my heart apologize for anyone who continues to try to scare you about variants." Unfortunately, Monica Gandhi has no way to apologize for the countless Americans that died because of Delta and Omicron variant infections.
2021/03/21: "Natural immunity after Covid-19 infection is likely lifelong," of course, we now have young children on their sixth and even seventh reinfection. Their health isn't looking great, either, with hundreds of thousands of American children suffering from Long COVID complications. Thanks, Monica!
2021/04/04: "when you get close to herd immunity, you just know it" in regard to India, predicted same for California. Again, vibes over science. Embarrassing incompetence.
2021/04/20: "It's simple math. We don't need to vaccinate those under 11 to get to herd immunity," says Monica Gandhi, an early anti-vax influencer when we had just gotten SARS-CoV-2 vaccines widely available. COVID-19 is now the leading disease killer and crippler of children. Monica has yet to apologize to these children's families for blatantly false statements.
2021/05/26: "Children should return to their normal lives...without masks and regardless of their vaccination status. Overall, the risk to children is too low to justify the remaining restrictions." - Monica Gandhi goes fully off the deep end, encouraging the mass and repeat infections of children with a new and deadly virus that has now harmed so the lives of so many little ones - including hundreds of thousands of children that lost a primary caregiver to SARS-CoV-2. Many of them were infected at school, transmitted the virus to a loved one, who then died. Monica Gandhi has yet to adopt or support any of these orphaned children, choosing instead to attend fancy parties to celebrate her endemic incompetence.
2021/06: Monica celebrates the end of the pandemic. Unfortunately, it is 2023, and the pandemic is still raging. She will continue to do this celebrating a great deal, so strap in for a rough ride.
2021/06/04: Hybrid immunity is pitched: "Vaccines + natural immunity getting us to population immunity, it is so easy now to message on COVID 19 because it will end...not bother the public." Ah yes, let us not forget. Monica Gandhi actively encouraged vaccinated people to seek out SARS-CoV-2 infections as a way to form "super” immunity. Many vaccinated people suffered deaths or Long COVID disability since then.
2021/06/08: "June 15th [2021] is when we're going to be done...get to herd immunity...going to have to open up more without masks. All of that will show us as we mingle, the cases aren't going up...that we have enough of the population being immune."
"You don't need to vaccinate the whole population to get to herd immunity." Well, it's nearly June 15th, 2023 - and this did mythical herd immunity did not come to pass. Many people have suffered multiple reinfections with SARS-CoV-2 instead and developed serious post-viral complications.
2021/06/11: "The “advocacy group for data-based approaches to opening schools” that later becomes the “Urgency of Normal” is birthed. “Vax2relax” indeed.
2021/06/15: Monica cuts a ribbon of masks to celebrate our “liberation” from COVID on "Monica Gandhi Day" - nearly 600k deaths, another 500k deaths before end of 2021. For the following year, this ceremony failed to draw a similar turnout for Monica Gandhi's self-titled holiday.
As an aside, we're like halfway through 2021 here, and this is already exhausting to revisit in full. Take a break and pour yourself a stiff drink if you need it, and thanks for sticking with us.
2021/06/24: "Delta variant, delta shmariant," Monica says. Countless Americans would die or be disabled because of infection with the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2. Still, no genuine apology has been made.
2021/06/29: "I do not wear masks... I feel protected... they make it so you can't transmit." This means that Monica Gandhi likely served as a link in the chains of transmission which killed and crippled so many Americans, especially with her frequent public appearances to celebrate her grandeur. Was this unearned, overconfident pro-viral zealotry a coping mechanism for feelings of great shame?
2021/07/06: "Delta variant panic could cause more harm than good," is a key theme of Monica's pro-viral advocacy. Protecting yourself and others via wearing PPE, using HEPA filters or CR boxes, etc. are somehow harmful. Embracing a new virus and transmitting it to others, was somehow a good thing. Except all of the people who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 had the virus transmitted to them by another.
2021/07/20: "Relieved to see a mortality rate of zero among children from COVID without a pre-existing medical condition" based on a sample of THREE. CDC reports 25% of pediatric deaths in healthy kids. So, what, to hell with kids with a pre-existing condition? COVID's now the leading disease killer and crippler of children, and many of these kids had no "pre-existing condition." They'll never get to grow up and be rewarded for being as much of a fuckup as Monica Gandhi has.
2021/08/06: Delta would be "the variant to end them all" via "herd immunity" & mass infection on CNBC's "Fast Money," a business news program.
2021/09: "We are in the endgame...cases will start plummeting...won't need a third booster." Wrong again.
2021/09/05: "Variants shmariants made sense because variants weren't really a threat in countries with high vaccination rates," says Gandhi as she attempts to cover her ass for being so blatantly wrong. Monica refuses to apologize, of course.
2021/09/30: "COVID will soon be Endemic," a term that was spammed relentlessly and seen as desirable, a justification to stop protecting lives and instead embrace the cesspool of pestilence. Gandhi was of course wrong and proved herself functionally illiterate on a term she knew little about.
"COVID will soon be endemic, thank goodness. Widespread immunity, vaccinated and natural, will bring control and a full return to normal...With a highly transmissible variant driving up immunity in the unvaccinated and bolstering it in the vaccinated, Covid-19 will inevitably make the transition from epidemic to endemic." Again, Monica advertises endemic as a somehow desirable state, instead of one that calls for long-term vigilance. She’s literally advertising the infections which would go on to cause so much death and disability as a net benefit - a common rightoid anti-vax meme called “natural immunity,” in which disease is good - and disease prevention is the Devil!
2021/10/06: "...by the end of this year we will have enough immunity in our population, either through vaccination and natural infection. I think Delta will be the variant to end them all." Yet again, Monica downplays the importance of getting vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, laundering anti-vax talking points about “Natty Immunity” that have been dead wrong for literal centuries.
2021/10/17: "I'm not saying anything crazy." In this, we agree. I don't believe that Monica Gandhi is "crazy" or has severe cognitive & neurological impairment. I believe she is a prime example of institutional rot that rewards failure in service of nefarious ends. Most working-class Americans would on the streets and begging for change if they were as much of a failure as Monica is. Then again, our healthcare is GoFundMe.
2021/12: Claimed "Omicron could be more contagious, less dangerous...good news for the human race." aka "Nature's Vaccine" anti-vax rhetoric shared by brain geniuses like Scott Adams of the Dilbert cartoon fame. When in the history of medicine has an infection ever been “good news” for the human race? Yet again, wasting the better part of the year arguing the benefits of pestilence instead of protecting people's health - shameful and embarrassing conduct.
What a year, what a time to survive. Many people died. Many people found themselves suddenly disabled. Many children suffered, died even - ramming unvaccinated children into unsafe schools in September doubled the pediatric COVID death count before Christmas - so hundreds of American families spent their holiday dinner staring at an empty chair for two hours, where a now-dead child was supposed to be sitting; filling up on ham & au-gratin, laughing. Monica has never apologized.
Few people spent as much time as Monica Gandhi making public appearances to an audience of millions and saying utterly ludicrous, fictional things, to sabotage a serious pandemic response which faced such grave challenges.
In the following year, Monica Gandhi would only grow further & further indefensibly incompetent in service of a deadly and disabling virus that has continued to mutate and evolve. Don’t worry, her pro-viral gimmick only gets more insufferable in…

2022/01/22: Says we've "turned the corner," no masking or testing required anymore. Many people who developed Long COVID from Omicron in 2022 probably wish they didn't heed this sort of advice. Lots of people were still in the hospital, sick and dying, as she said this.
2022/01/24: Monica signs on with the "Urgency of Normal," "a toolkit with an evidence-base on how to return children back to normal life after the Omicron surge in the US is done." This has to get its own article at one point, because it's raw, unfiltered sicko shit. Pro-infections of children, many of which were not vaccinated (thanks to Monica's advocacy! You nailed it, girlboss!) and of which hundreds of thousands of children have developed longterm complications.
2022/01/25: Says "Long COVID is not a major risk to children" via the "Urgency of Normal" - hundreds of thousands of children with Long COVID, and their families, would probably disagree. Monica has done nothing for them, much less apologize.
2022/01/30: Monica Gandhi removes herself from the "Urgency of Normal" "toolkit" after it's thoroughly shredded to pieces. That's okay Monica, we kept a record so nobody forgets what side you've always been on throughout this crisis.
2022/02/03: Humiliated on Medhi Hasan Show by a reading of her own statements, Monica pledges to stop making predictions about SARS-CoV-2 on national television - this was a true masterclass by Hasan, and an early inspiration for the Pandemic Accountability Index. Unfortunately, Gandhi would fail to live up to her own promise of making absurd, evidence-free proclamations in service of a deadly and disabling virus. Maybe it’s an addiction?
2022/03/13: "I think it's important to stop reporting cases out to the public." This was a truly sinister moment - that the public needed to be manipulated, socially engineered to embrace the virus and have their bodies appropriated as forced labor r to feed and further evolve SARS-CoV-2. A grim violation of bodily autonomy. Sadly, the Biden Administration & the CDC agrees with her as of May 11th, 2023.
2022/04/05: "So masks are screwing up our microbiomes, is that the deal here?" -"They actually are," said Monica. The "immunity debt" debacle that was originally ginned up in 2021 as a pro-viral cudgel truly took off here. A complete work of fiction - that not getting deadly and disabling viruses somehow made your body weaker and more susceptible to death and disability. Monica jumped on this rocket and rode it as hard as she possibly could, even to this day.
2022/05/15: "Living with COVID" with ZDogg, "We have the tools to end the emergency phase...We can live with this coronavirus." Well, except for the people dying and being crippled by this coronavirus. Monica should probably clarify who the fuck "we" was in this instance.
2022/06/15: "Patients felt much more empathy & relationship building with MDs not wearing masks. #empathy" Except for the patients that got COVID in the hospital from a doctor or nurse that died, because hashtags don't do a goddamned thing for your health, and in reality, the majority of patients would prefer to not die thanks to the COVID-19 they received from an unmasked doctor or nurse in a hospital. They’d prefer to be treated for the illness they went to the hospital for.
2022/09/11: Declared "POPULATION IMMUNITY 2022" based on singular anecdote from pro-viral crank doctor - "We have widespread vaccines & 60-75% of planet having been infected with Omicron." Yet again, Monica launders the anti-vax idea that vaccination is just as good, or even inferior, to getting a disease… to protect you from a deadly virus.
2022/08/23: "Masking harmed this public health expert's child's speech development...parental choice in US in 2022," tweets Monica Gandhi in support of Leana Wen, who was profiled here. In truth, Leana spent more time on her couch making ridiculous claims about the pandemic than actually raising her child and wanted to blame PPE for her own failings as a parent. Bigly! Sad!
2022/09/16: "When does COVID look like influenza? I would say Yes, we are there." This lie has been oft-memed since 2020, even when frontline doctors like Dr. Jonathan Howard wrote in We Want Them Infected that it was obvious that COVID was nothing like influenza when hospitals were overwhelmed in the spring of 2020. Again, Monica fails to keep up to date or fact-based about a topic she has spoken with an overzealous, unearned authority on.
"It was really severe COVID that led to Long COVID. And as the disease became milder, we're seeing lower rates of Long COVID." Just another bold, totally unsubstantiated claim about Long COVID, that pesky little Achilles' Heel which really fucked up everything that pro-viral influencers were claiming. Millions of Americas are now suffering long-term health complications post infection. As such, these hack frauds have expended a great deal of energy lying and covering up the casualties they helped create.
2022/09/17: Says COVID is just like the flu, which hasn’t been true… ever. Never will be! No remorse, no apology, doubles down on wrong. UCSF Public Health 101.
2022/11/07: Boosts terrible Munro article calling him a "renowned pediatric ID specialist;" he is just a loudmouth trainee profiled here, says PPE for kids bad "in view of lack of evidence of utility and potential harms." What Munro means is his RCT fetish, which is wildly inappropriate for the engineering & deployment of PPE.
Munro is an illiterate fraud, worthless pro-disease grifter who found a niche and seized upon it to international renown, even being quoted by David Leonhardt in the New York Times. But in truth, anyone boosting Munro is illiterate, delusional, and frankly indefensibly sadistic when it comes to infecting kids with SARS-CoV-2. The idea that Monica considers him a serious expert truly reveals how pathetic her standards for evidence are.
2022/11/10: "in the studies examining hybrid immunity (vaccination + infection) - strongest." Many have already died from breakthrough infections - were they just disposable weaklings, then? To be written off on our way to endless mimosa brunch? Any decent person would refuse to accept this ludicrous nonsense, but the overwhelming media assault boosting frauds like Gandhi has made it seem like there is no serious alternative than Infinity COVID.
2022/11/16: Likes a tweet from Ben Mazer stating COVID immune harms are "unsupported nonsense." Is now widely researched and accepted by non-minimizers as part of COVID infection. Yet again, a little humility might have saved herself from being so wrong on this topic.
2022/12/07: "burst into tears when I thought about how kids have suffered in the US because the harms of prolonged school closures are now so evident," with no mention of COVID becoming the leading disease killer & disabler of children. Gandhi never treated or cared for the children actually suffering from SARS-CoV-2 - they simply didn't matter. Forcing the rest of the children to pretend everything is going great as their health plummets is all Monica prioritizes. Viral gaslighting at its finest.
2022/12/13: Says "we are in a surprisingly good place," COVID has "hit an evolutionary ceiling." Yeah, the COVID eye from the Arcturus going around right now in spring 2023 has really broken this ceiling…or maybe Monica has always been overconfidently wrong about everything regarding SARS-CoV-2?
2022/12/11: "A Better Pandemic Playbook" with ZDogg, called for "COVID optimism," "since March 2022 we've seen very little severe disease" - when 160,000+ Americans died from March to December, and is the 3rd leading cause of death, again. Thanks, Monica!
2022/12/30: Retweets a quote saying "one in five pupils reported that face coverings made them anxious" and links it to HIV "HARM REDUCTION," stating "this means sort out what interventions work to a significant degree and do not cause harm at the same time."
Of course, nobody bothered to survey the anxiety of children being repeatedly infected with a deadly and disabling virus linked to heart, brain, and other organ damage. If a tree falls in the forest, etc etc. - but as willful sadism. This is also deeply offensive to the survivors and victims of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The video above is the actual definition of harm reduction - and has nothing to do with justifying repeat pediatric infections with a virus that crosses the blood-brain barrier.
In fact, “harm reduction” in relation to SARS-CoV-2 would mandate (!) infection prevention measures, including PPE, HEPA filtration, ventilation improvements, CO2 monitors, regular testing, and other “tools” to reduce the harm of the ongoing pandemic. Using the Monica Gandhi definition of “harm reduction” would be driving around, slamming used needles into the arms of homeless addicts - because drug abuse deaths are simply "endemic.” To pro-viral influencers, words can mean whatever you want them in service of a deadly and disabling virus.
Did 2022 end in a better place than we were in the end of 2021? For some, maybe. People thankfully can't die twice, so they didn't have to suffer a painful death more than once. Many people founds themselves in poor health, even disabled. It's hard to say, but we certainly were nowhere near the fantasies of an endemic utopia under the shield of super "hybrid immunity," or paying off a supposed "immunity debt," or other ludicrous fictional concepts posited by Monica Gandhi and endorsed by the University of California San Francisco.
The year that follows is our current year, and for those who remain aware of the current threats from SARS-CoV-2, an aura of uncertainly continues - to quote Dr. Howard's We Want Them Infected:
"This is a totally new virus and it has already thrown us a lot of curveballs. Yet, doctors who underestimated the virus at every turn, continue to speak as if they know exactly how it's going to behave many years into the future."
Monica has continued to speak in this manner, making bold & ludicrous proclamations with little to no evidence supporting them. Deeply unserious, unprofessional, and frankly childish misconduct from someone who with such a massive public profile, should be holding themselves to incredibly high standards.
2023
2023/01/08: Monica kicks off the year boosting a terrible Substack post from obscure but dedicated minimizer Patrick Heizer that SARS-CoV-2, a new virus we’re still struggling to understand, does not have any ill effects on the immune system. “We know how coronaviruses work,” Monica says, after years of material proving that Monica clearly does not understand SARS-CoV-2.
In fact, the CDC now actively disagrees with Monica Gandhi and Patrick Heizer, stating that “COVID-19 likely increases the risk for fungal infections because of its effect on the immune system.” Whoopsie-daisy!
2023/01/19: Monica argues lockdowns caused drug overdose deaths instead of, the overwhelming amount of disease and death that blankets the nation, with all the complications that result as such.
Instead of even considering that people turned to substance abuse as a coping mechanism for feelings of collective abandonment in times of great pestilence, as a consequence from the policy failures that Monica & Co. championed, the unspoken thesis of Gandhi and other pro-viral influencers is that people can simply turn a blind eye to the massive amount of disease and death that affects their family, friends, and community at large. Perhaps for some it was preferable to induce a state of apathy in a limited window, instead of making it their full-time gimmick like Monica has.
2023/01/29: "...harm reduction in pandemic management. Do everything in your power to minimize severe disease but stop interventions which cause harm without decreasing pathogen impact; new era in COVID 2023" Monica tweets. This is not at all what "harm reduction" means, it's a term referring to substance abuse issues and preventing people from dying painful deaths in the middle of the street.
In truth, the “new era” of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2023 is a viral rising tide. To quote Evolutionary biologist T. Ryan Gregory:
The main pattern in many countries over the past several months and across multiple
SARS-CoV-2 variants has not been tsunamis, but elevated sea level with high and low tides. That is, a baseline that does not come down (and in some cases, goes up).
Not seasonal. Not sustainable.
As far as “interventions which cause harm without decreasing pathogen impact,” this is just a technical way of claiming effective PPE doesn’t work, which is a ridiculous accusation of a global conspiracy that companies like 3M are manufacturing and selling ineffective PPE to hospitals around the globe.
2023/01/31: "...risk of COVID to children; low unlike so many other viruses." ...and when you mass infect the entire population repeatedly, it quickly becomes the leading disease killer of children you bumbling mule. Go audit Statistics 101 at UCSF already instead of wasting the public's time. Even better? Retire in shame after a national apology tour to the families you lied to, that would be even better.
There really is this mass delusion that this pandemic and all of the complications it has resulted in will just all go away on its own if we do everything in our power to mass infect the population, repeatedly. It's childish fantasy and should be called out for what it is: pitiful and pathetic. You’re supposed to do the work before throwing the celebration party, instead of throwing the tasklist out the window and cutting a big ribbon in your honor.
2023/02/17: "Greater support to the 5 day isolation period proposed by the CDC until the US...goes to a "stay home when sick model." Completely ignores asymptomatic transmission, ignores how often people/kids show up to work/school coughing up their guts, including 1/4 parents who have sent kids to school COVID+, infecting other kids, many of which died, were disabled, or transmitted this virus to a loved one, killing them. How is a child supposed to cope with the trauma of being instrumental in the death of a parent? The only solution of these viral sycophants is to gaslight these children into a crippling substance abuse problem, or worse. Reckless and childish delusions from a fundamentally unserious person.
Decrying the reality of asymptomatic transmission of COVID has long been a rightoid plague rat mallet. By arguing for policies that deny this fact, Monica Gandhi has furthered the work of nakedly anti-vax grifters like Ahmad Malik, who has found a new grift as a pro-disease influencer. Combined with Monica’s downplaying of vaccination compared to “natural immunity” (from how many infections? Nine?), decrying any form of infection prevention measures, and frequently misleading the public about the harms of SARS-CoV-2 in kids, San Fran’s Monica Gandhi has done wonders for advancing a far right eugenicist crusade against the very ideal of public health in its entirety.
2023/02/17: Monica Gandhi argues for the elimination of the CDC’s 5-day-isolation guidelines as demanded by the CEO of Delta Airlines, in which most people are still infectious. 2023/03/26: Claims COVID protections cause child abuse - instead of the many children who are now alone in suffering from Long COVID and being abused by a parent that refuses to accept the factual reality that their child was harmed by this new & dangerous virus - health issues being simply written off as a bad attitude, even by medical professionals.
It makes your heart weep just thinking about it, because pro-viral influencers like Monica wasted so much energy convincing parents that SARS-CoV-2 was just a cheerful little goober in kids, instead of a harmful pathogen. 2023/08/11: Endemic: A Post-Pandemic Playbook releases. Many more Americans will go on to die or be disabled by COVID in a "post-pandemic" hellscape. None of the money Gandhi makes from this masturbatory fiction will go to treat or care for a SARS-CoV-2 patient, or someone disabled by Long COVID and simply cannot work anymore.
