Decades of Appeasement Failed Yet Again
“Prosecution” is the word of the day. Specifically, prosecution for fraud, something that Democrats have largely shied away from over the past quarter-century. What follows is a condensed history of this crisis-in-the-making.
The Curious Case of the ADE 651
In the aftermath of the terror attack on September 11th, 2001, the American taxpayer soon found themselves footing the bill for a "Global War on Terror:" a failed multi-trillion-dollar crusade against the Middle East. Part of this sham including bankrolling a rather nefarious "nation building" scheme, in which private contractors of all sorts were given a bounty of government contracts to "rebuild" Afghanistan and Iraq. Enter stage left, British entrepreneur Jim McCormick of Advanced Tactical Security & Communications, inventor of the ADE 651:
This is the highly advanced, state-of-the-art ADE 651 bomb detector. The new government of Iraq paid over 52 million dollars to buy up the technology, as improvised explosive devices (IEDs) such as car bombs quickly became the weapon of choice for the resistance against foreign occupation. Governments across the Middle East and Africa also bought up the device in vast quantities, making Mr. McCormick over $80 million dollars. Yet, older readers of the PAI may find a vague similarity between the ADE 651 and another device...
The ADE 651 is actually the "Gopher," an "Amazing Golf Ball Finder" that was sold as a gag gift, a silly prank worthy of a sensible chuckle and little more. James McCormick merely bought up a stock of these, repackaged them as a bomb detector, and raked in millions from gullible marks across the Middle East and Africa. This scam went on for years, even after it was obvious that McCormick was full of it - and he treated himself to a massive yacht, paid for by your "nation building" tax dollars.
Eventually, McCormick would be tried & convicted by British authorities. He would serve a mere 10-year prison sentence for selling a fake bomb detector that likely got decent people killed. What makes the story of the ADE 651 so notable is that it's effectively a total anomaly. James was one of the very few scam artists prosecuted for wasting billions of tax dollars on all sorts of sham “nation building” schemes - including half-built powerplants that didn't work, private security contractors that committed war crimes, faulty equipment, obscene overbilling - the list goes on. Needless to say, but the people of Iraq and Afghanistan did not benefit from this.
The Consequences of Unprosecuted Fraud
Domestically, the scam artists dedicated to various anti-vaccine “alternative medicine” grifts have also been allowed to prosper from fraud, regardless of who is harmed. From snake-oil salesmen peddling "miracle tonics" in the Old West of the 1800s, to Gwyneth Paltrow hawking jade eggs to shove up your vagina in the 2010s, quack "medicine" pushed by scam artists have been allowed to flourish unimpeded by the government, raking in millions upon millions of dollars for peddling lies, quack cures, and unregulated supplements. Even the former Apple CEO Steve Jobs fell for such deceptions, rejecting lifesaving cancer treatment only to... die of cancer.
Yet, the unspoken bipartisan consensus of the federal government is that cracking down on such exploitative charlatans is a grave, tyrannical violation of Laissez-faire free market economics. Unfortunately, all of the progress we've made over the past century in reducing pediatric mortality with vaccines & public health is being destroyed by these same unpunished crooks. Will the crimes they're committing now go unchecked, furthering our nation's continued decline into a pestilence soup? Sadly, there is already an established precedent.
The eight years of the Bush Administration, from 2001-2009, had left the nation in a quagmire of political & economic crises. Just scratching the surface, we have: A war fought on obviously false pretenses, millions of Americans losing their homes as a casualty of unchecked white-collar crime, torture camps, the massive expansion of warrantless state surveillance, and even the funding & arming of warlords who sexually abused young children as a status symbol. An outright criminal Presidential administration had driven the nation to the brink.
The Obama administration which followed did not concern themselves with prosecuting these crimes, much less dismantling what was clearly the makings of a turnkey tyranny. Obama, Biden, and Eric Holder had all come together and claimed that prosecuting Wall Street's destructive construction would "further destabilize the economy." Oh, the twisted irony of a former Harvard law professor announcing to the nation that, if you're wealthy and powerful enough, the state is not going to prosecute your crimes. Obama doubled down on defending this horrific mistake in his memoirs, even after his failed Presidency led to his party losing 1000+ legislative seats nationwide and Donald Trump winning the Presidency twice, fully emboldened by a total lack of any accountability whatsoever. Fraud has become the law of the land.
What has followed is an absolutely horrific campaign across all sectors of federal governance, with the destruction of federal regulatory authority in its entirety as a primary goal. Completely unqualified appointees are doing everything in their power to utterly demolish essential functions of government, with a flagrant disrespect for the checks and balances of the judiciary. It should be apparent to everyone at this point that decades of refusing to prosecute criminal misconduct in the past has only emboldened such miscreants in their twisted designs.
This must change.
The Butchering of American Public Health
Two decades after the absolute cowardice of the Obama Administration in 2009, whoever inherits the White House after Trump will face a nation in grave peril. The intentional demolition of public health alone puts us at risk for a serious crisis. There are obvious cases of completely fraudulent misconduct happening now, that must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - including federal officials censoring private citizens from maintaining an archive of the words of civil servants. The fundamental principles of civic democracy are being destroyed in real-time.
If someone walks into, let's say, the Environmental Protection Agency and decides to do everything in their power to destroy the environment - in complete denial of an overwhelming scientific consensus & tangible reality - then that is a grave violation against the American people that must be punished. Left unchecked, we are heading down a grim road of environmental instability that can cause untold suffering, economic chaos, and yes, potentially more pandemics like COVID-19. Our children will end up paying a horrible price as a result of the obscene fantasies of immature, selfish adults that lack basic morality.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is a common scam artist with zero medical or scientific credentials, who made millions by spreading disgusting lies about vaccines and selling unregulated supplements, effectively practicing medicine without a license. RFK Jr. profits from widespread pediatric disease outbreaks, so he can exploit scared & indoctrinated parents into buying up his quack cures. He should have been locked way & left to rot in a prison cell many years ago. Decades of failing to prosecute such criminal misconduct did not stop him from becoming Secretary of Health and Human Services, as he now abuses the office to continue waging a war against lifesaving vaccines - bringing back once-eliminated diseases that take children out of school and place them six feet underground. Children are dying of vaccine-preventable causes today in 2025 under his watch, and yet the opposition party in America cannot find it within themselves to commit to prosecuting the HHS Secretary for the deaths his perverse misconduct has and will continue to cause.
This cannot be allowed to go on, or worse, be normalized by the inaction of the next administration - which, frankly, should be considered a passive endorsement.
Jay Bhattacharya, an unqualified economist with zero relevant experience, gleefully accepted the role of Director of the National Institutes of Health, and has completely failed at the most basic, fundamental responsibilities of the role. He smugly cashes a paycheck paid for by the American taxpayer, knowing full well that he is woefully incompetent, choosing to instead prioritize making podcasts with supplement salesmen and neo-Nazis instead of being an effective leader. Bhattacharya has made his choice - nobody put a gun to his head & forced him to accept the role of NIH Director. This is a textbook case of fraud, and the American taxpayer is entitled to seeing such obscene violations by such a dishonest, uncivil servant prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Commissioner of the Food & Drug Administration Marty Makary has shared unscientific anecdotes of the COVID-19 vaccine supposedly killing people, with zero hard evidence to support such claims. This is not Joe Shmuck, this is the head of the Food & Drug Administration sharing tall tales unsupported by evidence. This is not modern medicine - this is utterly fraudulent misconduct that is the equivalent of shouting fire in a crowded theater, especially after years of insisting COVID-19 is a harmless and benevolent friend to American children. To collect a paycheck funded by the working parents of America, only to willfully mislead them about the best ways to safeguard their child's health, cannot go unpunished. This is not "free speech," this is medical malpractice.
Senior FDA official Vinay Prasad, after years of decrying remote work, now rarely shows up to the office in direct violation of the Trump Administration's return-to-office mandate. The American taxpayer is funding constant, rather expensive plane trips for the special snowflake, wasting thousands of dollars on an unqualified leech who has no respect for the qualified expertise of experienced FDA staff - who spent the past five years dealing with real-world problems instead of screeching insults incoherently on social media. Now, this oncologist with zero experience or credentials in pediatrics, is moving to overrule the overwhelming medical consensus, supported by hard evidence, to peddle a long-debunked anti-vaccine lie about the pediatric vaccine schedule. Such feckless misconduct will get American children killed.
This doesn't even begin to get started with the Z-lister lackeys like Kevin Bardosh and Tracy Beth Hoeg in the NIH and FDA respectively, who are dedicated anti-vaccine propagandists that are utterly detached from scientific reality and basic medical ethics. Ironically enough, the next Administration will have to commit to a full-hearted purge of every last one of these anti-vaccine appointees before engaging in a series of prosecutions.
Failure to do so will ensure these essential federal institutions remain compromised, and that anti-vaccine saboteurs are only further emboldened in their quest to boost the quarterly profits of pediatric coffin manufacturers.
A Renewed Commitment to the American People
The liberal leaders of 2029 may be lulled into repeating the mistakes of the Obama Administration, "looking forward" instead of enforcing accountability for the leviathan of crimes committed by the previous Administration and rebuilding essential federal institutions such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This would be an indefensible course of action. As we've seen, there's no "middle ground" or "reasonable compromise" with this latest iteration of anti-science arsonists - much to dismay of certain liberal public health influencers, who endorsed cranks like Jay Bhattacharya and Marty Makary before claiming that kids shouldn’t be vaccinated against COVID-19, further legitimizing the anti-vaccine war on kids.
All that is left to do is re-establish basic professional standards & make an example out of these quacks, so that this never happens again.
The entirety of the Trump Administration is engaged in a reckless charade of lawlessness that will have to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. American families need leaders that will defend them from this domestic terror campaign & be willing to prosecute such obscene civil rights violations. Public health is no different, with the willful demolition of the ACIP - gutted on purely political grounds and replaced with completely unqualified, abrasive creeps that publicly spew blatant lies and tell their critics to move to Canada and commit suicide - is utterly fraudulent malpractice that will get American children killed.
How can you call yourself a major political party that seeks to occupy the halls of power, when you can't even defend young children from lecherous old men whose narcissistic fantasies will result in sick, disabled, hospitalized, and dying children? If you can't carry out justice in defense of our most vulnerable, then you are clearly in no position to lead the nation out of this labyrinth of political crises. Voters must demand that reversing public health's demolition become a leading priority in 2026 & 2028 - not merely resignation or termination, but prosecution. There has to be negative consequences for such grave harms.
Demanding the resignation and/or termination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is not enough. The entire collection of charlatans must be removed and prosecuted for malpractice & fraud, putting our children's lives at grave risk. How many more pediatric infectious disease deaths need to occur before Christmas before we start taking this threat seriously? When children are barred from other essential vaccines under this regime, just how many more dead American children will be written off as acceptable casualties?
Rebuilding American Public Health
When will we start seeing proposals for legislation so the Food & Drug Administration can finally regulate the supplements industry, punishing dangerous disinformation charlatans like Calley Means? A renewed commitment to mandate essential, lifesaving vaccines? A reversal of the NIH's destruction of mRNA vaccine research in time before another pandemic arises as a result of federal deregulation & climate collapse? These are all essential, basic commitments that any vaguely left-wing politician should be able to commit to without reservation.
Yet, we're instead reading headlines that the leading opposition party to the Trump Administration is instead burning mountains of cash to pay ineffective "social media influencers" $8,000/month to continue to fail to scold voters to the polls, just as they failed in 2016 and 2024, relying on a once-in-a-century pandemic to barely succeed in 2020. Oddly enough, the tech journalist who broke this story for Wired, Taylor Lorenz, is facing the greatest ire out of anyone for simply…doing her job. We are rapidly running out of time for such pitiful antics.
Believe it or not, but most people don't enjoy getting sick. I doubt most women want to give birth to a dozen children, knowing full well that a significant percentage of them will die of vaccine-preventable causes before adulthood. Most of all, people don't enjoy seeing common criminals prosper, building a multi-million-dollar empire of dangerous lies that exploit parents & hurt kids.
If you can't commit to standing up for such essential fundamentals of civil society, opposing such indefensible villainy and putting a stop to it, then you shouldn't bother running for office. Frankly, you're probably better off disbanding your political party in its entirety and letting someone who actually gives a damn fill that void.
