The New York Times, one of the more notorious media outlets for spreading COVID-19 disinformation by a clown college of unqualified opinion editorial pundits, pretty much openly mocked the public with a recent article titled:

The NYT goes on to describe “repeated infections” as playing with a loaded revolver:

After years of spreading harmful disinformation through their rag, The New York Times is now going: “Tee hee! You might just wind up horribly disabled by the virus we lied to you about! And there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it! Good luck!” Actually, that isn’t entirely true, there is a throwaway line at the end where “Doctors said … people should take precautions, like getting vaccinated and masking when traveling or in crowded areas,” which would…prevent reinfections…would mean that they’re not…a “fact of life!” You’re contradicting yourself in your own article!

Now, we had some warning that a significant percentage of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 would wind up disabled prior to 2020, thanks to research from the SARS-CoV-1 debacle, which was completely ignored. The CEO of vaccine manufacturer Moderna also warned that that vaccines were not a “silver bullet,” and layered mitigations would still be required in December 2020:

Who knew?! Preventing viral transmission remains a good thing!

Leonhardt’s Legacy

Unfortunately, the President people elected in 2020 on a promise to “follow the science” chose to listen to unqualified economics reporter David Leonhardt instead of top doctors and scientists advising precaution, as confirmed by Politico in 2022. Leonhardt insisted that his background in economics meant that he simply knew better than actual public health experts. Leonhardt will become notorious for committing what can only be described as “data crimes;” outright misrepresenting or manipulating statistics in order to:

• Suggest “the pandemic may now be in permanent retreat” (“Covid on the Run”)

• Attack masking & public health mandates (“Do Covid Precautions Work?”)

• Shrug off breakthrough COVID-19 cases (“Breakthrough Covid, in Perspective”)

• Endorse economist Emily Oster’s MAGA-billionaire backed fictions (“Covid and Age”)

• Suggest COVID-19 is merely a “red state” problem that is only killing white MAGA anti-vaxxers (“COVID and Race”)

• Attack people still protecting themselves from COVID-19 infection as “irrational” (“Two COVID Americas”)

• ...and so much more!

David Leonhardt would also frequently appear on the program of a noted pedophile defender to spread further disinformation, especially when it came to COVID-19 and children. Long COVID is now the leading chronic illness in children, affecting millions of kids. Congratulations, David! This is your legacy.

Moving Past the Pro-Pestilence Mythos

Clearly, it’s long past due to implement layered mitigations to reduce transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne pathogens, and there are multiple ways to do so. This was the job of the Biden Administration, who instead chose to drown the nation in pestilence through misleading guidance and mitigation-free schools & workplaces. The public was organized and coerced into embracing COVID-19 as a requirement of getting an education or earning a wage.

Employing Ashish Jha as a public relations mouthpiece instead of a COVID Response Coordinator, Jha would also exclaim on NPR that “Testing positive for COVID is beginning to feel ordinary for some Americans,” encouraging reinfections. Alongside Emily Oster in The New York Times, he attacked teachers protesting schools being overwhelmed with COVID-19 outbreaks as “irrational,” having failed their “individual risk assessment.” He would also falsely claim that “there’s no study in the world that masks work that well,” before later appearing on Chris Cuomo’s program to whine about “the radical fringe left to skill mask indoors.” In an opinion editorial for The Boston Globe, Jha would outright lie about there being “promising treatments for Long COVID.” The Biden Administration had completely betrayed the American people.

The New York Times’ cherry-picked “experts” who insist “Repeated infections are ‘a fact of life’” need to be discarded and shunned out of the conversation. We have engineering solutions to reduce the transmission of airborne viruses, and the experts with relevant experience are the ones who need to be listened to and given the resources & authority to implement them nationwide.

The International Wildfire Dogma Consensus

This should not be controversial. Instead, many liberals (Scott Galloway, Pete Buttigieg, Rep. Jake Auchincloss, etc.) have subscribed to the fantasy that should could have remained fully in-person and mitigation free in 2020, even after dozens of NYC educators died of COVID-19 in just a few weeks. This fantasy was dreamed up by crackpots such as Emily Oster and David Leonhardt in The New York Times. This leaves us gravely vulnerable should another pandemic such as H5N1 (bird flu) strike in our lifetimes, which climate collapse puts at us greater risk for.

This unscientific consensus is not limited to the United States of Pestilence, however. Across the pond on Plague Island, the 2024 National Health Service pandemic plan declares:

This is utterly atrocious, especially in the wake of the U.K. COVID inquiry, which found that the scandalous incompetence of Conservative leaders was responsible for thousands upon thousands of deaths. From Boris Johnson to Rishi Sunak to Matt Hancock, the Tories drenched their hands in the blood of their citizens and smeared it across the walls of 10 Downing Street in what is now known as “Partygate.”

So, what’s the plan should another pandemic emerge? It’s what we need to start calling Wildfire Dogma: Mass infect millions of unvaccinated people with a new pathogen before we know anything about its potential for harm, or worse, willfully ignore evidence suggesting a serious potential for harm. That’s what United Kingdom Health Security Advisor Shamez Ladhani has publicly advocated for, even going so far to insist that the media not report on children’s deaths caused by COVID-19.

Government and Disaster

Dating back thousands upon thousands of years to the dawn of civilization, it is one of the central responsibilities of government to organize people and resources in response to disasters, and pandemics are no different. This is not open for debate, yet, across both the UK and the US, the new mentality is to tell people that they are on their own; that they are only entitled to the survival they can personally afford. For example, the current head of the Federal Emergency Management Administration, as part of a controlled demolition, has told states that they should expect to be on their own and without federal assistance. That is the “plan” for future calamities, including pandemics: shrug as massive numbers of people die.

So just how many of our friends, families, and children do we let these jerks get killed before enough is enough?

In the months I’ve spent putting together my upcoming book chronicling the Biden Administration’s COVID-19 response from 2021-2024, I’ve found a staggering disconnect between what is being written by opinion editorial pundits and what is being published by journalists and in leading medical journals. At one point, you’re reading excepts from a horrifically uninformed opinion editorial writer who clearly doesn’t bother to verify the claims they first read in the gutters of Twitter - and often times, they’re almost immediately debunked by a heartbreaking news article or an alarming medical research study - if they haven’t been already. No corrections or apologies are ever offered.

These unqualified pundits making up the faux-intellectual class held an undue influence over policymakers, overshadowing experienced doctors and scientists expressing serious concern over poor policy choices. These pundits presented themselves as authoritative voices and when their obvious errors were called out, they either doubled down or quietly refused to ever admit fault, simply moving on to mislead the public about another topic. These blowhards were simply not interested in open debate; they set out to tell the public what they were allowed to believe on all things COVID-19. Needless to say, reality contradicted their claims.

How many examples do you need? Economist Emily Oster, with a record of 0-3 on Hep B, HIV/AIDS, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, insisting in 2020 that COVID-19 doesn’t spread in schools? Former President Biden’s favorite pundit, economics reporter David Leonhardt, repeatedly committing data crimes in The New York Times in 2021? Or think-tanker Leana Wen in the Washington Post legitimizing conspiracy theories originally birthed on anti-vaccine Twitter? When is enough finally enough?

So should another pandemic-level crisis emerge in our lifetimes, can we all collectively agree to vocally remind these faux-intellectual fraudsters of how they often got basic facts wrong the last time, or worse, repeatedly posted morally depraved dreck in a public forum? Can we demand the nation’s leading newspaper editors that they have an obligation to share facts instead of fictions during a crisis? Can we remind our politicians that they need to be listening to concerned doctors and scientists - not economists or other laptop-class fraudsters such as political scientists who don’t consider dead kids to be a policy failure, as reported by Dr. Jonathan Howard of Science Based Medicine - instead of dipping into a fantasy realm helmed by the willfully ignorant?

Maybe we need to pass some sort of government regulation that these sorts of editorials need to come with a massive disclaimer at the top; that this is not medical advice and is very likely dead wrong. These are not serious thinkers. These are overpaid brats whose biggest grievance was that they felt personally inconvenienced by COVID-19 mitigations. Needless to say, the mountain of radioactive garbage these pundits have produced since 2020 all turned out to be completely worthless.

Newspaper editors need to take a hard look at the junk that has spilled out of their opinion-editorial sections. The woman on the right in the video above, silent as host Megyn Kelly defends Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophilia, is the Newsweek editor who greenlit the publication of failed medical student Kevin Bass’ revolting COVID-19 disinformation before making an appearance on a program hosted by a beastiality fetishist. The public should treat it as revolting trash until serious quality standards - including a major revival of factchecking departments - are made. The public wants accurate and reliable medical and scientific information; not petulant ragebaiting and narcissistic calm-mongering.

A great place to start? Immediately firing any pundit who tried to peddle whatever unscientific garbage they read about COVID-19 on Twitter as important, meaningful insights - such as the “Immunity Debt” mythology. Why should anyone support journalism if it’s just going to reprint such revolting filth for free? Cut the crap!

This is an odd argument that falls flat on its face. Blasting demons in Hell with a “Big-Fucking-Gun 9000” simply doesn’t teach you how to load, aim, and otherwise operate & maintain a firearm in real life. “Circle strafing,” a common tactic for these sorts of arcade entertainment games, does not work in real-world tactical scenarios. This is all, quite frankly... quite silly!

As far as the argument that violent videogames cause children to lose touch with reality, this originates with the long-lost Tom Hanks film Mazes and Monsters, in which Tom plays a young man who loses touch with reality by playing a tabletop roleplaying game? Are there a few people who take this pastime too far? Certainly. You can find horror stories on Reddit quite easily.

Asking Tough Questions

It was much easier to blame videogames than ask the hard question of why these kids were radicalized into neo-Nazism, and had easy access to firearms to murder their classmates; a problem which has only grown exponentially worse in the decades that follow. The United States of America is the only nation in the world which bakes regular mass school shootings into their political “normalcy.”

When you grow up in a nation that has a history of murdering millions of innocent non-white people around the world since the conclusion of World War 2, amongst other atrocities, and this is considered by both major political parties to be “normal,” it’s not hard to cross that baseline into outspoken white supremacist beliefs. It’s long overdue that we need to shift our politics to a place where being anti-war is the reasonable, moderate position instead of written off as “bleeding heart radicalism.”

I’ve long made the argument that the influence of the 2004 massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game World of Warcraft had a major influence on those developing the gamified social media platforms of today. This fantasy treadmill of constant dopamine releases (damage numbers popping off of enemies, dressing up your character in new armors and weapons, and traveling across the world in fancy “mounts”) created an addictive feedback loop. People’s unhealthy attachment to World of Warcraft led to all sorts of unhealthy attachments, including numerous broken relationships and even babies dying of starvation.

Seeing that steady feed of hearts, shares, retweets, likes, etc. can give you an intoxicating feeling that you’re one of the smartest people in the world, even if it’s for all the wrong reasons. That’s when you start getting unplugged from tangible, objective reality. You start to feel the urge to feed into that feedback loop, over and over. In the history I’m in the middle of writing, that’s what you’ll see and even play out over, and over, and over again - and innocent lives who never got a say will pay the ultimate price as a result.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the first pandemic in history in which social media was involved. While medical myths have existed for centuries, this tool was like pouring kerosene on a gas fire. The public became bombarded with an unyielding torrent of utterly absurd nonsense, making it harder than ever to suss out factual and reliable information. America even exported medical disinformation.

Feeding the Beast

When we take a deeper look at the individuals who constantly produce and consume such junk data, it quickly becomes clear that they have completely lost touch with reality. They’re not even a little bit interested in facts which contradict their feelings. They’ve become Tom Hanks’ character, trapped in Mazes, battling Monsters, in which they’re the heroic adventurer vanquishing evil.

This is darkly funny, because they themselves wind up entrapped by a horrific monster that we shall call: The Content Behemoth. The Content Behemoth must be fed, and the only thing it will eat is... content. Only by producing social media content, no matter how worthless it is, do we feed our master, the Content Behemoth.

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, how many once widely respected doctors, scientists, academics, etc. have we watched become ensnared by The Content Behemoth, and end up losing their grip upon reality as a result? It’s truly shocking, harrowing stuff to watch. Worse yet, journalists in leading media outlets have repeatedly legitimized their absurdities.

Even worse, people who actually knew what they were talking about were hounded with abuse, harassment, and threats. The owners of social media platforms chose to empower those committing actual harm and engaging in censorship via unyielding abuse under the guise of upholding “free speech.” Encouraging frequent “engagement” above all else, this actively sabotaged the COVID-19 pandemic response - contributing to hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths.

After having compiled years of social media dreck from 2020-2024 in a single volume, I recently had to take a break from social media due to being overwhelmed with unscientific garbage. This colossal monument to willful ignorance is just too much to bear at times. We need a serious conversation about how to take tangible steps to right this ship before the next pandemic strikes - something that is at greater risk of happening sooner than later as a consequence of climate collapse.

In the recent national “Children’s Health Defense” conference, godfather of the modern anti-vaccine movement and abuser of young children Andrew Wakefield admitted to being in love with a generative “artificial intelligence” chatbot: telling her “Good morning, darling.” This is an ongoing public health crisis unfolding across the most obnoxious faux-intellectual frauds that love to prattle on authoritatively about topics that they know quite little about. Wakefield went on to introduce his longtime friend Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who made further baseless claims about vaccines and the nation’s health, hot after further incentivizing violence against actual doctors & scientists on Trump’s behalf:

This is the level of collective obscenity that represents the modern anti-vaccine war on science. Getting all hot and bothered because an automated chatbot on your phone, not even a woman, or a man getting paid to pretend to be an attractive woman like many OnlyFans accounts, has fostered an intimate relationship with you. That is how repulsively unlovable Andrew Wakefield & his ilk are:

How the World Failed to Face Its F.E.A.R.

Let’s rewind to the days of another horrific era in American politics: 2004. Critically acclaimed Raven Software publishes an instant classic of a new first person shooter videogame titled: F.E.A.R: First Encounter Assault Recon. A daring mix of The Matrix and The X-Files with a dash of The Ring, it winds up being one of the greatest first-person shooters ever made. Hiring one of the best and brightest out of MIT to program their enemy behaviors, you are met with bad guys improvising cover by flipping over tables, crashing their bodies through windows, and even coordinating flanking attacks against you. F.E.A.R. felt like it was realizing many of the promises that modern generative “artificial intelligence” claims to be.

Do you want to know what the sad legacy of such a lovely game is? Many fans of first person shooter games hated this sort of engagement. They hated being flanked. They hated enemies who didn’t thoughtlessly march into crosshairs, begging for cranial lead injections. The MIT programmer wouldn’t return for the sequels, and the franchise quietly faded away after F.E.A.R. 3 failed to impress.

So just why was the original F.E.A.R. so captivating? You always managed to scavenge up just enough bullets to get through the next firefight, especially when combined with the thrilling first person jumping roundhouse kicks that were absolutely devastating. Alongside the adaptative difficulty of the initial entries in the Max Payne franchise, these sorts of interactive behaviors posit the question: Does the computer know my feelings? Is it self-aware? Has it developed a form of intelligience that we all need to start being aware of?

Heck no. The MIT grad who programmed the enemy A.I. in F.E.A.R. developed an incredible logic system for individual entities in the game world to coordinate attacks & react to the player’s actions. In layman’s terms, a daisy chain of “if this, then do that” sort of statements made in code. That’s simply not sentience. I love the amazing work that team did in putting that game together; I don’t fetishize the masked goons who make up all the awesome gunfights in F.E.A.R. Everyone should give F.E.A.R. a go if they get a chance, you can readily find it on Good Old Games.

Here is my hot take: I fear that we are facing a generational crisis of people who may claim to be technologically inclined, but they simply refuse to form any tangible understanding of how “The Computer” actually works. They don’t want to try and make sense of why their amazing electronic device does the wonderful things that it does. Instead, they’d much rather inhabit a fantasy realm in which they’re telling themselves that an A.I. chatbot gave them an erection because it responded positively to the prompt “Good morning, darling.” The code is simply designed to remix other texts into generating a response that pretends to display affection towards you.

Wakefield’s Digital Romance

This is what brings us snapping wildly back to Andrew Wakefield. As Brian Deer writes in the devastating The Doctor Who Fooled the World, here is:

Wakefield refused to understand why what he did was so wrong, and instead fled to the United States to become an anti-vaccine celebrity with the help of dangerous crackpots such as Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Hollywood actor Robert DeNiro. Only to become a blueprint for future anti-vaccine crackpots such as the University of California San Francisco’s Vinay Prasad, who is now insisting that the COVID-19 vaccine killed children and his “evidence” was lost evil corrupt liberals at the Food & Drug Administration changed a report.

Wakefield has profited from terrorizing the parents of autistic children by falsely suggesting that they are to blame for their child’s condition by vaccinating them against horrible diseases that, to this day, still continue to kill Americans. More-so now thanks to the efforts of RFK Jr. and Andrew Wakefield. This speaks to just how truly despicable and unlovable Andrew Wakefield is, that he is now boldly professing his relationship to an “artificial intelligence” chatbot, which should really be called an automated remix software built on theft, because in Wakefield’s worldview? It’s good when we have a constant stream of children dying of vaccine preventable causes.

This steady stream of public health crises provides a fertile ground for him and all the other anti-vaccine grifters to attack the people who dedicate their lives to trying to prevent those agonizing deaths, whilst fleeing from journalists simply trying to do their job of verifying their outrageous claims. If public health was allowed to do its job, they’d be out of business and risk having to get a real job. Although to be frank, you shouldn’t trust someone like Wakefield to pump my gas, much less stock the shelves at the local grocery store.

The Gatekeepers of Knowledge

In the nightmare realm of Andrew Wakefield, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and their most loyal pestilence sycophants like Vinay Prasad, they don’t want you to actually understand anything. They want to lock up that actual knowledge and simply tell you what you’re allowed to believe. If we go back thousands of years to the time of the ancient Greeks, those in power decided that allowing the public to know of a secret fifth shape, the dodecahedron, was a danger to society.

A gosh-darned shape! A government-classified shape! As much as I adore the 1998 Will Smith & Jeff Goldblum flick Independence Day - you can’t beat out the government concealing from the public knowledge of... a shape. Who wouldn’t want to see a film depicting the impassioned arguments insisting that we had to hide the knowledge of the dodecahedron from the general public?

Where Wakefield & his most dedicated associates will forever be recognized as a scourge, Carl Sagan’s legacy will forever live on to open the minds of generations that follow. While Wakefield simps a sycophantic A.I. chatbot, we can all go to the Internet Archive and pull out the first episode of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, whose most passionate love was a multi-millennia old Library of Alexandria. Sagan is most truly heartbroken over the loss of such a wonderful archive of government seized books from thousands upon thousands of years ago:

Sadly, modern American science & medicine is presently undergoing its own burning of the Library of Alexandria. I wish a true hero of men such as Carl Sagan was still here to lead us out of this chapter. Alas, we must conjure our own solutions to such existential challenges to life as we know it.

In a recent article, we looked at Deborah Blum’s The Poison Squad and the crusade of chemist Harvey Wiley against the food industry that insisted it was their divine right to kill babies and kittens. It wasn’t until 1906 until Congress would finally begin to pass the beginning of essential food safety regulations, but the fight did not stop there. Wiley & the Department of Agriculture would continue to be besieged by industry with countless bad faith attacks throughout the early 1900s.

Enter H. H. Langdon, a self-described “public health advocate” with impressive scientific credentials. Writing countless letters to the editor, extensive essays, book reviews, and other features in all sorts of publications big and small across the nation, Langdon was a fierce critic of Wiley. Langdon would suggest Wiley was “happiest when looking complacently into the horrorstricken eyes of women he has just scared half to death.”

Major news outlets that are still household names today considered Langdon a credible and trustworthy source. The New York Times gave real-estate to “public health advocate” H. H. Langdon so he could brand Harvey Wiley as a dishonest political radical. Taking to Scientific American, Langdon insisted that eating borax-laced meals would in fact improve your health!

There was one small problem.

H. H. Langdon never existed. He’s not a real person. In reality, H. H. Langdon was actually...H. L. Harris, chief publicist for the Pacific Coast Borax Company. Yes, that’s right. A rich jerk invented a fictional scientist solely to sabotage food safety regulations, and The New York Times published this propaganda uncritically.

Thankfully, The New York Times and other mainstream media outlets quickly learned their lesson, and certainly would never, ever fall for such antics again...rrright?

A Peek at The New York Times’ Frauds Gallery

While we here in the 21st century with the COVID-19 weren’t subjected to a completely imaginary person, industry was more than happy to prop up completely unqualified charlatans as supposed experts on the pandemic. Long time readers will know precisely who I’m talking about, but for those not in the know, let’s review just who got the stamp of approval from The New York Times and other mainstream outlets:

• Emily Oster, a Brown University economist who was already dead wrong on Hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, made a pretty penny for herself peddling dangerous disinformation about COVID-19 on behalf of MAGA-aligned tech billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg & Peter Thiel. She repeatedly insisted that being an economist meant that she knew better than experienced doctors & scientists on their fields of expertise. The New York Times’ David Leonhardt and other pundits endorsed her unscientific falsehoods and allowed her to publish garbage editorials, as did The Atlantic.

• Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford University, another economist graduated medical school to go right into conservative policymaking. He started 2020 producing a fraudulent seroprevalence study on behalf of an airline CEO. Later that year, he would be one of the first signers of a useless online petition championing a new SARS virus, propped up by a conservative think-tank bankrolled by fossil fuel billionaires pissy that people were working from home.

  Jay would later repeatedly misrepresent himself as an epidemiologist. Numerous New York Times pundits have endorsed Bhattacharya as a legitimate and critical thinker worth listening to, repeating the lie that Jay is an epidemiologist. In reality, he is little more than a social media troll bankrolled by reactionary billionaires such as Peter Thiel.

• Monica Gandhi of UCSF certainly has much more legitimate credentials than the economists, but her track record on all things COVID-19 is utterly horrific. The New York Times would never inform their readers of Gandhi’s many failings. Instead, they let her take out an entire opinion editorial blaming liberals who wanted to protect their children from a new SARS virus for the current war on American science & modern medicine.

• Alasdair Munro from the United Kingdom was quoted by David Leonhardt, who uncritically endorsed the fictional concept of “immunity debt” in 2022 to suggest that children were constantly ill because of non-pharmaceutical interventions instead of the SARS-CoV-2 virus - which is now well-documented as negatively impacting the immune system. Immunity debt could have been debunked by asking any number of immunologists here in the United States. Leonhardt & The New York Times have never acknowledged this critical error.

These are just a few of the many fraudulent “experts” that The New York Times and other mainstream media outlets have platformed uncritically. It’s clear that well over a century later, The New York Times has failed their readership time and time again. Just as doctors have an obligation to provide the public with legitimate medical advice, journalism has an obligation to provide the public with the full picture, not a selective misrepresentation that aligns with the policy preferences of wealthy interests.

In this day and age of social media, in which dangerous medical myths can spread like wildfire, our nation’s most trusted outlets for news have an obligation to ensure they aren’t giving a spotlight to dishonest frauds serving on behalf of nefarious agendas. They have to issue redactions & apologies when they give a platform to someone who is proven to be constantly wrong. Otherwise, you have a general public which believes absurdities that simply aren’t true.

On the other hand, perhaps that’s the point of all this. If I can make you believe something that’s completely false, then I wield great power over you. History is chock full of examples of horrible things done by people who sought that sort of power.

Pediatricians are one of the most essential pillars of American medicine. They safeguard the health of our youngest and most vulnerable, they administer vaccines that offer strong protection against horrible diseases that have claimed so many young lives in the past, and their competence can settle the nerves of anxious patients. Most importantly: they save children so they can grow up to live out full and complete lives. The nation owes our pediatricians a debt of gratitude for their continued service.

Advocates of mass infection of unvaccinated children with SARS-CoV-2 will never acknowledge that the nation faced a severe shortage of pediatric ICU (pICU) specialists in 2020, and continue to do so to this day, especially in rural areas. As children’s bodies are generally smaller & less developed than adult bodies, pICU specialists come equipped with the knowledge & experience of how to manage dosages, treatments, and so on for these young & vulnerable lives. Had we mass infected tens of millions of unvaccinated American children with SARS-CoV-2 in 2020, we would have had countless thousands dead that year alone instead of merely 200, and many millions more disabled.

Let us also not forget how many children suffered through the trauma of losing a parent because they brought the virus home from school. On February 03rd, 2022 UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital (@UCSFChildrens) tweeted out the following: “With Delta, we saw that for every 4 deaths from COVID, a child lost a parent or caregiver - and losses were greatest for children of color.” Attached is a slide which reads: “1 in 500 children in U.S. has had a COVID-19-associated death of a parent or grandparent caregiver.” This tragedy would play out hundreds of thousands of times across America. Clearly, there is no room for childish, immature antics when it comes to these matters.

Pediatrics is a highly specialized and technical field of medicine, and those who dedicate their careers to it should be respected with humility, instead of overruled by loudmouthed social media charlatans.

The Public Face of Pediatrics at UCSF

The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) has an impressive pediatrics department, with a dedicated faculty page. I searched high and low across this webpage multiple times, and strangely enough, I did not find the name of the most outspoken “expert” on matters of children’s health among the UCSF faculty. Anyone who has read the PAI for long enough knows who I’m talking about: Oncologist Vinay Prasad, who was recently ousted from the Food & Drug Administration for choosing to be an erratic, abusive crank & falsely claiming in an intentionally leaked memo that the COVID-19 vaccine killed at least 10 American children.

In a recent interview with libertarian rag “Reason,” titled “Public Health is so Broken,” Prasad insisted, with no evidence, that corrupt saboteurs in the FDA simply “changed the report” after Big Pharma conspired to force him, Makary, and Hoeg out. Prasad produced no evidence for this claim, or his claim that the COVID-19 vaccine killed children, which is now considered fact in the canon of anti-vaccine circles.

Prasad has seamlessly returned to UCSF and is back to ranting incoherently on social media, pretending that he’s still on the MAHA team. This is after Trump & RFK Jr. kicked him to the curb for simultaneously being both erratic and incompetent. Yet he is still on his knees for them, immediately after being publicly humiliated.

For Sensible Medicine, Vinay Prasad has penned a new screed titled: “The best person to discuss vaccines with is... your pediatrician: Hmm… Really?” In it, Prasad mocks the pre-MAHA 2024 vaccine schedule, calling it in his words: “#vintage” before attacking the annual COVID-19 and flu vaccines. Yes, we seriously have someone with a medical license arguing that it would be better if thousands of more Americans died every year without the protection of a flu vaccine and repeatedly claiming that the COVID-19 killed children with zero evidence. This is the public face of pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco, constantly attacking pediatricians.

The question which must be answered is simple: Does the UCSF Pediatrics Department share and endorse Vinay Prasad’s views?

Prasadiatrics 101

Perhaps the faculty members of the UCSF Pediatrics Department need a reminder of just a few of the countless obscene & blatantly unscientific things their colleague, Oncologist Vinay Prasad, has said when it comes to pediatrics & COVID-19:

• January 13th, 2021: “Let me be perfectly clear: children DO NOT NEED a sars-cov-2 vaccine” - The overwhelming majority of pediatric COVID-19 deaths are in unvaccinated children, numbering in the thousands in America alone.

• February 03rd, 2021: Prasad publishes an opinion editorial titled “Kids don’t need COVID-19 vaccines to return to school” in STAT News. This is long before vaccines for American children are approved, and over 200 American children had already died of COVID-19.

• January 09th, 2022: For Tablet, Prasad pens a depraved screed titled: “The Cult of Masked Schoolchildren: History will not look kindly on our evidence-free decision to make kids suffer most.” The evidence of COVID-19’s extensive harms on children, with Long COVID overtaking asthma to become the leading chronic illness in children, is now overwhelming and undeniable.

• January 30th, 2022: “Everything done to keep kids ‘safe’ has been delusional, unproven, harmful mitigation that is not proportionate to the risks they face, harmful to their language and development, and has hurt a generation more than any other insult this century. The left failed kids. End of story.” Prasad has consistently, year after year, denied any of the many well-documented harms of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to children, up to even orphanhood and death.

• February 02nd, 2022: For conservative rag Unherd, Prasad published with anti-vaccine quack Alison Krug: “Should we let children catch Omicron? Restrictions in school must never return”

• Februrary 08th, 2022: “Yes, COVID is on par with Flu in terms of risk to kids, but more to the point, the amount of restrictions we placed on children is in now way whatsoever commensurate with their risk of COVID. We restructured their entire lives, and deprived them of a year of education. Horrible.” Yet again, COVID-19 has hospitalized, disabled, and killed exponentially more children than flu between 2022 and the time of this posting, and disabled countless more. Prasad simply denies this physical reality. His delusions render him mentally unfit to serve in any sort of medical, scientific, or academic role.

• May 3rd, 2022: Vinay Prasad publishes an editorial titled: “Don’t panic about unvaccinated kids.” The overwhelming majority of COVID-19 deaths are in unvaccinated children. A UCSF Faculty member, who is not a pediatrician, is profiting from sabotaging the work of the UCSF Pediatrics department and ensuring that children die of vaccine-preventable causes.

• July 21st, 2022: “Any strong advocate for Kids covid vaccination is off their rocker.” This is after COVID-19 has killed over 1,000 children, and we will record over 2,000 deaths before the year’s end. Overwhelmingly unvaccinated. Would the UCSF Pediatrics department like to clarify just how many vaccine-preventable child deaths they consider acceptable? Also, it is wildly unprofessional to imply that vaccine advocates are mentally unwell in a public medical debate, however, this is a common anti-vaccine trope.

• October 24th, 2022: Realizing that telling parents not to vaccinate their children against one infectious disease might transfer to other infectious diseases, Prasad decides to blame vaccine advocates for the consequences of his own actions, writing on Substack: “Covid Vaccines Shouldn’t Be Routine for Kids - The CDC’s latest guidelines could wind up lowering vaccination rates for truly dangerous diseases, like polio and measles.” Prasad would gleefully go on to endorse and serve under Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. - who has called measles a “blessing:”

Yet, the UCSF Pediatrics Department continues to quietly let their fellow faculty member loudly speak over them.

• March 2th, 2023: After publishing a dishonest & fraudulent paper (which is never subjected to peer review) alleging that the CDC (and 50 state health deparments, pediatricians, etc.) hallucinated pediatric COVID-19 deaths - playing to his anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist social media fanbase - Prasad screeches: “This is damning stuff. CDC should be dismantled if it cannot accurately report the number of kids dead from covid. This is a basic competency and CDC failed.” Just how well is a dismantled CDC working out for America in 2026?

• March 31st, 2023: Cherry picking a single study from one of his Twitter fanboys, Prasad posts to Substack: “Bombshell: New Study on Long COVID in kids and young adults FAILS to link COVID to Long COVID” - in reality, there is a mountain of evidence showing that COVID-19 has caused what is now the leading chronic illness in American children. Prasad’s inability to accept evidence which contradicts his opinions renders him unfit to serve in a medical, scientific, and academic capacity. There are a number of great researchers at UCSF doing work on Long COVID, and their voices are being drowned out by Prasad’s screeching. It is the job of every faculty member at UCSF to bring up this misconduct to the administration and file a formal complaint.

• May 11th, 2023: “Reopening schools in 2020 did not require HVACs nor testing nor ‘high quality’ kiddo’s masks. It required absolutely nothing besides will. Ala Sweden.” This is another blatantly false statement. American schools went remote because dozens of educators died of COVID-19 in a few short weeks in NYC in Spring 2020. Dead teachers can educate zero children. Also, schools shut down all over Sweden, and a third of young adults are now suffering from cognitive impairment.

• August 26th, 2024: “Covid is just a cold; incompetent leaders forced schools to close.” This is an anti-vaccine meme the originates from the very beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

• October 25th, 2024: Prasad endorses Scott Atlas for the millionth time, tweeting: “[Scott Atlas’] only crime was being right.” Scott Atlas is a Stanford radiologist and former Trump Administration official. In 2020, he championed the mass infection of a new SARS virus in unvaccinated children:

Neither Atlas nor Prasad could be found treating children hospitalized for COVID-19.

A Plea to the UCSF Pediatrics Department

Faculty members of the UCSF Pediatrics department, you need to understand that your continued silence is an endorsement of Vinay Prasad’s obnoxious, sadistic, and utterly unscientific misconduct. Worse yet, it means that you consider the vaccine-preventable deaths of children to be acceptable. It is your professional responsibility to publicly rebuke Prasad and file a formal complaint with the administration of your university. If this is what you truly consider acceptable, then perhaps you should be honest with the public and rename your department to “Prasadiatrics,” because you clearly don’t care about children. You care about protecting the ego of a pathetic excuse for a man.

In fact, let’s have the UCSF administration lay off their entire faculty. Have Prasad teach every class and replace the curriculum with his social media rants. Better yet, train a legion of generative A.I. chatbots off his endless hours of social media rants to educate the next generation of doctors and scientists, so Prasad doesn’t have to take any time away from producing more harmful & deceptive screeds to get more children killed of vaccine-preventable causes.

There are countless parents across America who have to live with the trauma of burying their child because they listened to men like Prasad, and did not vaccinate their kid against COVID-19. This is the public face of pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco. Are you proud of him?

Do They Really Think This is Acceptable?

Reader, if you’ve made it this far, I humbly ask you to go to the faculty page of the UCSF pediatrics department and reach out to these professors. Especially if you are a fellow pediatrician. Ask them what they think of Prasad’s blatant dishonesty, including repeatedly making evidence-free claims that the COVID-19 vaccine killed children; both as an employee of the federal government and as a faculty member of the University of California San Francisco. Be polite, be professional, but do ask them why they are silent in the face of such blatantly harmful academic misconduct.

Just as the general public has an obligation to defend doctors and scientists from unjust attacks and defamation, the medical profession has an obligation to the public to police their own. The vast majority of workplaces in America would never tolerate these sorts of antics, so why is it somehow acceptable at one of America’s top medical schools? It’s a vulgar insult to hardworking families across this nation.

No child should have to lose their life because a gullible parent fell for manipulative lies on social media from someone with official looking credentials by their name.

In a just society, Vinay Prasad would be screeching out of a cardboard box under a freeway overpass for the rest of his days; a depraved little narcissistic twerp who destroyed his professional reputation in pursuit of social media fame. The next generation of doctors and scientists shouldn’t be deceived into thinking he is some sort of role model to emulate. We deserve better.

With the “Great Barrington Declaration” revisionist history being released by the “MAHA Books” imprint of Skyhorse Publishing next month, it’s worth interrogating their original promise of achieving “herd immunity” in a mere “three to six months” via the mass infection of hundreds of millions of unvaccinated Americans.

To better understand this radically new concept that contradicts the entire history of pandemics never ending via mass infection, only vaccination, let’s take a short romp through the history of the Mass Effect franchise and what would become Bioware’s dramatic fall from grace.

A Condensed History of Bioware & Mass Effect

Nearly twenty years ago, famed RPG videogame developer Bioware, hot off the heels of success from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series, will go on to release the first of a new franchise titled Mass Effect: A spacefaring action-adventure set in an original universe. Check out this trailer from 2007, and imagine how this would blow the mind of a 17 year old:

It’s like 24 meets Star Trek! You can play as either a noble Captain Kirk paragon, or a nasty Jack Bauer rogue! There’s even a sexy blue alien lady you can recruit to your crew and seduce! This has to be the future of videogames!

A few years later, after releasing an original fantasy RPG titled Dragon Age, Bioware will release the second installment of Mass Effect, which is even more bombastic than its predecessor. Even better, major decisions from your experience with the first game will carry over into this one. Here is Emmy award-winning actor Martin Sheen narrating the launch trailer for Mass Effect 2:

Bioware has been bought by Electronic Arts in this time, (which is now owned by the Saudis and Jared Kushner) and their management style already begins to impact the quality of Bioware’s games. For many, Dragon Age 2 is a massive disappointment. Here is an audio clip from a 2011 episode of the Giant Bombcast remarking over their disappointing experiences with the game:

However, expectations are still high for Bioware, and millions are eagerly awaiting the final installment in the Mass Effect trilogy. Prior to release, the ending leaks and public sentiment quickly turns harshly against Mass Effect 3. However, much of Mass Effect 3’s more serious problems come from more deep-seated issues, such as the central “Galactic Readiness” mechanic.

The Agony of Filling an Arbitrary Meter

Mass Effect 3 opens with the invasion of Earth by a horde of Eldritch-inspired “Reaper” aliens. Fleeing Earth, we find that many of the crucial decisions made across the previous two games have been undone. Our crew’s central mission is to flee Earth (whilst a planetwide genocide is unfolding) and dart across the galaxy, gathering allies to form an armada to rescue Earth from the Reapers. With all the complexity, all the different characters and cultures, and all we’ve seen in the previous two installments, Mass Effect 3 gates the “Bad” and “Good” endings behind filling a singular “Galactic Readiness” meter that grows by collecting “War Assets:”

Needless to say, many players were underwhelmed. It was clear that publisher Electronic Arts had meddled in the development of what should have been Bioware’s magnum opus, and concepts such as liberating Earth from an alien invasion failed to be fully realized. Reducing such a climatic finale of a beloved trilogy to filling an abstract meter was nonsensical and deflating.

The parallel between “Galactic Readiness” and the central promise of the useless online petition produced by a conservative think-tank and signed by mercenary contrarian academics, including the author of erotic fiction such as The Glassblower’s Breath, is apparent. Insisting that you can magically end a pandemic in a mere three-to-six months by filling an arbitrary “Herd Immunity” meter via throwing hundreds of millions of unvaccinated bodies at a new SARS virus, is a radically absurd (and wildly unscientific) concept.

While the “Galactic Readiness” meter sits opaquely atop the map screen of Mass Effect 3, slowly filling it’s progress bar by engaging in various activities (including the now defunct multiplayer mode & using the now delisted smartphone app), there is no magical “Herd Immunity” bar that hovers in America’s sky. Upon Month 04 in this magical “three-to-six months” timeline of drowning the nation in pestilence, how would we know this approach is succeeding?

The GBD includes no contingency plan should it fail. It makes no mention that, as we learned from SARS-CoV-1 in the early 2000s, that a significant percentage of infected would become disabled and lose their careers as a result, with no treatment or cure. No relief or aid is proposed by the GBD to support the millions currently suffering from Long COVID to this day. The Great Barrington Declaration was just as thoughtless as the petition from Postal 2 “to make whiney congressmen play violent videogames:”

The Mass Effect series is an incredible achievement in its own right, with hundreds of incredibly talented people coming together to make something truly special, which doesn’t quite stick the landing. To be one of the three initial signees of the Great Barrington Declaration, on the other hand, required absolutely zero effort to sign your name to a worthless petition championing a new SARS virus and clink champagne glasses. Yet, there are those in America who insist that this was a much braver and more heroic act than actually treating COVID-19 patients, developing a lifesaving vaccine, or simply participating in a vaccine clinical trial.

The Dark Secret of the GBD

The forbidden truth that Jay Bhattacharya, Martin Kulldorff, and Sunetra Gupta don’t want you to know is that the genesis of the GBD isn’t all that complicated. Wealthy oil interests were pissing their pants in 2020 over the fact that people weren’t driving to the office and back, and more importantly, not driving to the gas station and filling up their tank. Americans discovering the wonders of working from home was their version of Nazi Germany finding out that Hitler just killed himself. Obviously, the only solution was to produce an elaborate advertising campaign to sell a new SARS virus to the public, all so billionaire oil barons’ profits weren’t impeded. The larger consequences, harming millions of Americans, be damned.

The Great Barrington Declaration is just as poorly thought out as Mass Effect 3’s central “Galactic Readiness” mechanic, because the true purpose of the GBD is that it was designed to fail: It is simply the wealthy interests who fund the American Institute for Enterprise Research demanding that the American public must accept a higher threshold of disease, disability, and death as a human sacrifice for the economy. Even after centuries of examples of wealthy industrialists making this same demand, time and time again, and being dead wrong every time, far too many supposedly smart and credentialed people were more than willing to go along with such obscene demands.

Now we are all paying an awful price for such thoughtlessness, as America sinks further and further into a reactionary anti-intellectual spiral of self-destruction.

Trump & AOC Agree: “Woke” Bad!

On ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to a question about her previous support for “defund the police,” or reducing bloated police budgets. She brushed off any sort of serious engagement of the concerns many Americans have, especially with the domestic terror campaign the Trump Administration has waged against the American public, with simply:

This is quite concerning, as while America did have limited stay-at-home orders and remote schooling in 2020, we did not implement any serious “lockdowns,” especially when compared to other nations which employed much stricter measures. It was the conservative think tank AIER who campaigned to brand any form of public health intervention as a “lockdown” that does nothing except grave harms. Is AOC implying that our limited use of non-pharmaceutical interventions drove everyone crazy? In another clip, she repeated a colleague stating “Woke 1 was crazy:” a nasty reactionary framing and gross rewriting of a long and painful history:

It’s upsetting to see Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez publicly admit on camera that she is now aligned with the Trump Administration’s bizarre hatred of anything “woke,” a political term originally coined by Black Americans to reckon with the racial oppression they have faced all throughout America’s history. Now, “woke” means anything Trump & his cronies don’t personally like and must be destroyed. This is not leadership. This is the mind poison of liberal “Centrism” at work: Letting yourself be dragged further and further to the right like a dog on a leash.

Just Where Did “Defund the Police” Come From?

In the leadup to 2020, years of brutal executions of unarmed (mostly Black, with some exceptions) Americans, including children, led to a wave of nationwide protests against police violence. Taking a critical look at municipal budgets, police funding is disproportionately obscene compared to other much more essential services. This taxpayer money is often dedicated to purchasing military hardware that is much more appropriate for a paramilitary occupation than a civilian policing force. A great example of this is the evolution of the LEGO police Minifig over the decades:

It’s worth noting that the law is not enforced equally in America: the nation’s greatest form of larceny, wage theft, is almost entirely unprosecuted. Former Attorney General Eric Holder’s 1999 “Collateral Consequences” memo - which argues for replacing federal prosecution with paltry fines - is now the standard for letting private corporations such as Facebook flagrantly and repeatedly violate the law. The entire genAI “industry” is built upon colossal amounts of theft that federal authorities pretend isn’t a crime. On the opposite end of the nation, the essentials the homeless need to survive are regularly destroyed by police-led sweeps, with no real help offered. Broke single mothers driven to shoplifting baby formula and diapers just to survive, however, are slapped with lifelong criminal records and the lowest moment of their life is turned into monetized social media content.

In the 2020 general election, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threw her full support behind Joe “Shoot Them in the Leg” Biden, who previously championed the invasion and occupation of Iraq - in which hundreds of thousands of Muslim lives were slaughtered in a war based on false claims of weapons of mass destruction, as well as horrific torture camps. In exchange, Biden pledged to veto Medicare-for-All and zero support for other polices AOC claims to support. At the same time, the Brennan Center’s Mike German would publish a report titled: “Hidden in Plan Sight: Racism, White Supremacy, and Far-Right Militancy in Law Enforcement: The government’s response to known connections of law enforcement officers to violent racist and militant groups has been strikingly insufficiently.” In summary: America’s police departments are chock full of neo-Nazi pigs. The total lack of impact this report will have on Democrat policymaking is astounding.

The American Rescue Sham: Arm Nazis, Abandon Schools

Having crushed & humiliated the progressives, Biden would narrowly secure a Presidential election victory that came down to ~40,000 votes in a few key swing districts. Taking office in 2021, one of Biden’s first priorities was a pandemic relief bill named the American Rescue Plan Act. Now one might understandably conceive that the number one priority of a pandemic relief bill would be to prevent COVID-19 deaths. Alas, we are not dealing with logical thinkers.

Here are some creative thinking challenges: Just how many COVID-19 deaths can be prevented by an AR-15 assault rifle? Can we train the next generation of doctors on shooting ranges? What purpose does an armored personnel carrier serve in preventing COVID-19 deaths? Do surveillance drones help get vaccines into peoples’ arms? How about $350 billion for all of this, nationwide? Even better, much of this money goes to an AI surveillance firm so that cops can stalk and harass their partners & exes!

American schools, on the other hand, received less than half that amount with a paltry $123 billion in comparison for “general purposes,” which instead of being used to help schools protect students & teachers from COVID-19 outbreaks, largely went to renovating football fields and contracts with standardized testing companies. This does not end well in the 2021-22 school year, with hundreds of children dying and many more disabled as unsafe schools drown in COVID-19. It does however lead to Joe Biden whining in January 2022:

This did not keep schools open. Paxlovid, a COVID-19 antiviral from Pfizer, cannot be given to young children. It does nothing to prevent infections or keeping schools functioning normally. Weeks later, Biden will double down during the 2022 State of the Union on diverting even more pandemic relief funding to buy military toys for white supremacists to terrorize their communities:

Oops, Unelectable!

Having dumped hundreds of billions of dollars of military hardware into violent white supremacists, the Democrats did not become any more electable in 2024. They will find themselves completely humiliated in the 2024 election, losing every single swing state - even after all the cute sunglass selfies AOC took with a champion of endless war. Hundreds of thousands died and millions were disabled by the virus the Democrats campaigned on dealing with. Biden’s pitiful political career would end in a pathetic whimper as little more than further expanding upon the turnkey tyranny he spent decades building, only to casually toss the keys to Donald Trump yet again.

Perhaps Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would like to go door to door to the working-class Black and brown families of Queens and the Bronx that she once claimed to represent and explain just why it’s so important to put even more military hardware in the hands of white supremacists, especially over funding public education. After proving she has no real commitment to realizing a Green New Deal or Medicare for All, AOC is now choosing to defend “MAHA activists.” Having largely abandoned all the positions that made a name for herself to instead prove her loyalty to Democrat leadership, the Right isn’t contemplating supporting AOC for President; they are instead loudly laughing at her showing that she stands for nothing.

To imply that “lockdowns” drove people mad into demanding to divert police funding to more constructive purposes is utterly ridiculous. We’ve already suffered through years and years of absurd propaganda that “lockdowns” caused all sorts of horrors, including widespread suicides, far worse than COVID-19 itself. It helps nobody to imply they’re responsible for critics against unbalanced municipal budgets used to purchase military toys for white supremacists.

If you simply cannot articulate & commit to a meaningful and constructive alternative to MAGA’s sadistic and cruel worldview, then you will do nothing more than achieve the same humiliating defeats that Democrats suffered in 2016 and 2024, with only Trump’s mismanagement of COVID-19 resulting in a narrow victory. Liberal austerity and corporate handouts, most notably to arms manufacturers, is simply no longer a viable electoral strategy. Failing to reckon with this national reality leaves one flailing about, blaming “lockdowns” for political views the majority of Americans support.

The lessons to be learned from the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Biden’s failed response, are instead being drowned out by reactionary myths.

Read enough supernatural tales, and you will often hear of a centuries-long “shadow war” hidden from the public eye between vampires, werewolves, and other creepy-crawlies that go bump in the night. Secret societies, vampire hunters, and other ridiculous conspiracies make for fun movies and bedtime reading, but we all generally understand that these are entertaining absurdities.

Except for Blade, the hard-hitting 1999 documentary starring Blade, directed by Blade, all about how awesome Blade is. That is all very real and completely happened. Let’s not be ridiculous, people!

Now what if I told you that there actually is a very real war that has been waged over centuries, but all within the public’s eye? It’s tragic and the casualties are enormous. But they are all part of one struggle: the war of industry against the public’s health.

Freedom is When I Profit from Killing Babies

Let us go back in time to the America of the late 1800s. A working class mother goes to the grocer to buy brown sugar to bake a birthday cake for her son, and fresh milk for the boy’s newborn sister. Upon returning home, she opens the container of sugar to see lice jump out: for this is no brown sugar but instead ground up insects packaged and sold as brown sugar. As for the baby’s milk, well...

She will tragically die upon drinking it. These are the sort of common practices that were the standards of the late 19th century American food industry. Deborah Blum’s most excellent book The Poison Squad is an essential history of the depravity of greed and the years-long struggle to institute basic food safety regulations we have too quickly forgotten. Not even candy was safe!

Just as John Snow waged a war against cholera in London, with the wealthy and powerful opposed to basic water sanitation & sewage treatment, American chemist Harvey Wiley (a notorious misogynist who compared women to jackals) crusaded against industry, mercenary academics, journalists, and even his own boss. It must seem obscene in retrospect, that anyone could oppose ensuring that children don’t die needlessly of such easily preventable causes. You would hope that upon hearing that someone was killing American babies, the first thing a Congressman would do is roll up his sleeves and slap on his ass-whooping boots to go knock together the skulls of those responsible. And yet, in Harvey Wiley’s time...

Congress took the side of industry against American babies multiple times. This is in part thanks to open legislative war was waged by industry, demanding that we recognize their divine right to murder American children for profit, and that any regulatory attempt to prevent this is a grave violation of their freedoms. Would it not be self-defense to then drag these sadistic industrialists through the streets and mount their heads onto pikes as a warning to others who are tempted by such greed? It would take years of political struggle, and a final convincing of President Theodore Roosevelt (well after he led soldiers given formaldehyde contaminated beef rations) to finally convince Congress to pass the beginning of food safety regulations in 1906.

Sadly, the nation is currently suffering an extended campaign to destroy what little progress we have made 120 years later. All in service of a dogma that industry has a divine right to kill in service of profit. Even when that includes your own children.

The Medical Disinformation Industry

While public health disinformation has existed for centuries, the World-Wide Web and the monetization of social media has poured kerosene onto the fire in a way few could predict. In the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic, you could make a pretty penny (via ad revenue, brand deals, and subscriptions) spreading utterly obscene lies about every aspect of the crisis possible, screeching and howling like jackals at those trying to prevent needless death. One of the end results is countless horror stories of parents who had to bury their unvaccinated child dying of COVID-19 because they listened to these lies.

Under the failed leadership of COVID-19 pestilence sycophants Marty Makary, Vinay Prasad, and Tracy Beth Hoeg, the Food & Drug Administration completely failed to complete regular food safety inspections, and Americans are getting very sick and even dying as a result. Meanwhile, the corporations responsible for these outbreaks continue to report record profits, having exploited the pandemic to engage in price gouging. Children are also getting very sick and dying of measles, as a result of years of disinformation from those who claim to rally under the banner of “Make America Healthy Again.”

With COVID-19 in most Americans’ rear-view mirror, these cheerleaders for disease now strive to profit over sensationalist attacks against those trying to prevent deaths from contaminated produce, or measles, or every other disease in the book. They need a constant stream of ongoing public health crises in order to profit from attacking those who are working and struggling to prevent death, especially those of children. Your family’s constant sickness is their profit.

The Trump Administration’s deregulatory slash-and-burn agenda is ensuring that they’ll be making a steady income for years and years to come. Sadly, Democrats are failing to seize upon an easy opportunity to drum up public support.

Their endgame is that you should all grow quite comfortable with Americans dying regularly from causes that we’ve previously eradicated. That you should relish in the demonization and ruthlessly attack those who’d dare to save lives. That you should become as damned and perverse as themselves; loyal followers practicing in their demented rituals of human sacrifice.

The murderous scam artists of 21st Century America, just like 19th Century America, have no place in civil society. They have nothing of value to say and nothing of value to contribute. Like the common pests you’d find while working on a family farm, they are the ones who should be recoiling in fear at the sight of everyday people.

Long time readers of the PAI will know that I grew up a fisherman, often getting up at 2AM to hit the water before dawn. At one point, my father and I set a personal record of hitting 49 weeks in a row catching at least a single fish. I was even published in a local periodical showing off the highly effective “Butt Ugly” fly fishing lure that I designed and tied myself.

The hard technical science of baiting and catching fish (Rule No. One: If You Don’t Go, You Don’t Catch Any!) does not come naturally to many. It takes hard work, dedication, and patience in order to put food on your family’s table. Tricking a smallmouth bass into thinking he’s chomping down on a minnow instead of a one-way ticket to deep-fried tartar town takes some cleverness.

Like fishing lures, not all scientific research studies are created equal. As we all remember, there is a long history of COVID cranks attacking studies which invalidate their uninformed opinions to be “Covidian” and effectively worthless. On the other hand, these sorts of “Evidence-Based Medicine” gurus just love cherry picking individual studies that validate their personal opinions, no matter how flawed they are.

Which brings us to a recent trial evaluating the effectiveness of HEPA air filtration units in care homes that was endorsed by John Mandrola of Sensible Medicine, liberal COVID minimizer Adam Gaffney, and Alasdair “Immunity Debt” Munro. It was written up in The Conversation UK by Paul Hunter, Professor of Medicine of the University of East Anglia. Now, Paul has produced an extensive stream of unscientific pro-pestilence propaganda over the years, even going so far to claim in 2021 that people positive for COVID-19 should be encouraged to spread a deadly & disabling virus around their community as if they had the common cold.

Looking critically at the study these men endorsed, “High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filters to Prevent Winter Respiratory Infections in Care Homes” published in JAMA Internal Medicine, the errors are obvious. For starters, the researchers ran the devices at the lowest settings - at 2 ACH (Air Changes Per Hour) against the consensus of aerosol engineers, which is at least 6 ACH to reduce the transmission of airborne viruses. There was no control group - thus not an RCT, so time to STFU! The researchers also didn’t bother to measure indoor air quality, a critical metric. If I was intentionally designing a bunk study as bait for EBM zealots, this would be it.

The only conclusion one can gleam from reading it is that not knowing what you’re doing, refusing to learn from those with relevant experience & credentials, and doing a half-assed job simply doesn’t work! I could have told you that for free!

The thing about the arrogance of EBM Zealots is that, if you spent years advocating for the abandonment of any and all precautionary measures COVID-19 related - even going so far to compare pediatric COVID-19 to head lice, in Munro’s case - and there are effective technologies that work to prevent the onward transmission of awful deadly and disabling viruses, then you start to come off looking like a massive jerk. So at this point in 2026, you’re committed to the gimmick. This is the problem with improper use of social media in medical and scientific debates: You have to be humble enough to admit error when the evidence contradicts you. This simply doesn’t happen if you’re a mercenary academic advancing the agenda of wealthy interests.

That agenda is the same one we have fought for centuries: that industry simply doesn’t like public health in any way, so they’ve went ahead and decided that you can’t have any. The public simply needs to get used to…seeing babies die from poisoned milk, or their neighbors shitting themselves to death from cholera, or their loved ones dying or being disabled by SARS-CoV-2 as human sacrifice for others’ profit. Academics who enable this conduct with their “expertise” should be discredited, not paraded around the media as critical voices worth listening to over those who actually have the relevant knowledge and experience.

See, the thing is, if we can prove the effectiveness of technologies such as HEPA air filtration (or FarUVC lighting, respirators, etc.) to prevent the spread of airborne viruses, then it suggests that perhaps we should be deploying them in schools and workplaces to prevent needless death. It implies that perhaps the government needs to get involved and facilitate this happening, even if industry - after centuries of temper tantrums over government regulations against public health hazards - needs to be dragged by the ear year again, pissing and moaning the entire way, into a new, better era. All these “Evidence-Based Medicine” propagandists are doing everything they can to keep us in the past.

It must feel weird to work at a university while dedicating yourself to making sure people know less about the world.

In 2020 Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. - alongside his best buddy Andrew Wakefield, who intimately violated young children to produce fraudulent study results - rallied German neo-Nazis (worked out so well the first time!) to attack public health mitigations. Soon after, Stanford University’s Jay Bhattacharya would repeatedly tweet out “Heil Hitler” dog whistles in support of Canadian neo-Nazis who threw up swastikas, defecated in public, and terrorized their fellow citizens to sabotage the COVID-19 response. For years, both men peddled inflammatory and ridiculous lies about the COVID-19 vaccines, fanning the flames of hate that led to an explosion of harassment, abuse, and real-world violence (including murder) against medical professionals and scientists.

This would come to a head on August 8th, 2025, when a man attempted a mass shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Firing hundreds of bullets, including into the windows of the CDC Campus, he would only succeed in taking one life: David Rose, a 33-year-old father of two with a third on the way, was cut down defending the targets of years of obscene lies. A year later at the CDC memorial service to David Rose, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. proceeded to attack the staff of the CDC further with more outrageous falsehoods, subtly implying that they were at fault for Rose’s death. RFK Jr. and Bhattacharya both absolved themselves of any responsibility for how countless others would pay a horrific toll for their narcisscism.

All across America, there are thousands of parents who had to undergo the horror of having to bury their child after being infected with a SARS virus that RFK Jr., Bhattacharya, and their fellow social media trolls profited from insisting was harmless to them. In their fantasies of an alternative 2020, all of those children would have quickly died in the Spring of 2020 as a virgin sacrifice to the economic gods and soon forgotten. These pediatric COVID-19 deaths are overwhelmingly unvaccinated, with countless stories of parents who regret listening to the anti-vaccine lies that vile pestilence sycophants such as RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya profited from peddling.

These revolting narcissists, with refried feces for brains and a sarlacc pit where a heart should be, gleefully paraded themselves as heroes along a river of blood. Sadly, many who should know better propped them up as serious thinkers with legitimate insights. This includes Stanford University’s Jonathan Levin, Brown University’s Ashish Jha and Emily Oster, Princeton University’s Steven Macedo and Frances Lee, The New York Times’ Zeynep Tufekci and Ross Douthat, and numerous others who insisted that a mercenary academic who promoted a useless online petition produced by a Koch-funded propaganda outlet was a credible voice who was somehow the real victim of the pandemic, as Jay Bhattacharya has frequently insisted:

With muscles he did not earn, much less the supposed genius he clearly lacks - as the economist frequently struggles with basic arithmetic - Captain COVID wears the championship title over his shoulder of a wrestling promotion that maintained a rape dungeon on the executive floor of its corporate headquarters for the sexual abuse of employees and produces propaganda on behalf of a monarchy that publicly beheads women. Previously, the NIH Director had posted to social media an edited photo of himself branding the same face tattoo of a sadistic rapist employed as a mascot for a federal handout to factory farming. What a role model!

Across his waist, Captain COVID wears the title of “Public Health Champion,” which can be earned only after defeating numerous children in a Casket Match. This happened when he was in charge of Florida’s COVID-19 response. While the most obvious joke of “fringe,” a-la Macho Man Randy Savage, is missing, the ring attire of Bhattacharya’s cringeworthy caricature features padded kneepads - crucial joint support for the many hours he spends on his knees publicly fellating a billionaire rapist pedophile (he just claimed Trump would end the HIV/AIDS epidemic this past week) among the other repugnant billionaires Jay services. The cape is for flying away when Bhattacharya is confronted with real questions, or risks interacting with a woman that actually knows what she’s talking about.

Bhattacharya posed with the standee on social media, on the Twitter account which he has blocked the many actual doctors who wasted their time treating COVID-19 patients instead of recording podcasts, as well as the many actual scientists Jay childishly branded “Covidian.” In the digital safe space of his delusional fantasies, not too dissimilar from those final moments of pedophiles just before Chris Hansen walks in, Bhattacharya can completely disconnect from tangible reality and abandon all self-awareness. If you look closely, a video of the memorial to David Rose is playing over the shoulder of the “Captain COVID” standee:

Here is public health’s Caligula, gleefully celebrating himself over the grave of an everyday American father killed by a man radicalized by the years of anti-vaccine incitements to violence that Bhattacharya participated in. As a celebrity of the conservative speaking circuit, Bhattacharya should understand that among some traditional cultures, committing an act so disgraceful and dishonorable leaves you with only a single course of action: ritual suicide. I would settle for resignation and a public apology tour, personally. If Bhattacharya truly respected the actual beliefs of his “MAGA” colleagues, he would pack up his family’s things and move overseas, offering up his role as NIH Director to an unqualified mediocre white man. As we all know, only those who lack melanin, estrogen, and especially empathy can truly unlock the secrets of the universe.

Every university, every medical association, and every media outlet across America should be issuing a public condemnation of this vile, revolting insult to human life. Our national safe space for pestilence sycophants is costing more and more American lives every day we refuse to stamp it out. There are no more excuses: David Rose deserved an America in which he could live to raise his children.

With the show trial in Congress blaming Fauci for the pandemic this past week, as taxpayer funded jackals squeal that “infection is the best protection” against a SARS virus, you might be surprised to learn that we are still learning about the devastating impacts of COVID-19. Little attention has been paid to Ashish Jha after leaving the Biden Administration as White House COVID Response Coordinator (COVID Czar, but the former Brown University Dean of Public Health has taken a rather reactionary shift in his tone. It’s worth remembering that just before the pandemic, Jha was attacking Medicare-4-All and in 2020, endorsed Emily Oster’s fraudulent propaganda before smearing public schoolteachers as “irrational” for not wanting to be disabled or killed by COVID-19. As COVID Czar, Jha did little more than justify the Biden Administration’s decisions on cable news while thousands of children died, millions of Americans became disabled by Long COVID, and schools across the country shut down regularly as a result of unmitigated in COVID outbreaks.

Jha instead spouted off numerous reactionary unscientific myths, leading to quotes such as “There’s no study in the world that masks work that well,” insisting that “most of us can finally ignore COVID,” sharing fake statistics that Long COVID is magically going away thanks to waves of mass infection & reinfection, denying the well documented impacts of COVID-19 on the immune system, or even going so far to declare that the “radical fringe left who still mask indoors” are just as dangerous and unscientific as MAHA anti-vaccine cranks:

After this completely failed to save the Harris campaign in 2024, Ashish Jha publicly endorsed Marty Makary, Jay Bhattacharya, and Mehmet Oz to lead the FDA, NIH, and CMS respectively. He also tweeted out that children don’t need to be vaccinated against COVID-19, after it’s already killed and disabled so many. Jha would later publicly declare that Oz was doing a “very good job” running CMS, which has actually been an absolute disaster. While this earned him zero respect amongst anti-vaccine cranks on Twitter, Ashish Jha continues prostate himself before the MAHA altar.

Garbage I Read on Twitter is Evidence Now!

In a recent CNN appearance, Ashish Jha declared himself to be a believer in the “Lab Leak” theory of the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming that he had “compelling evidence.” There is a history of lab leaks, and a separate history of pandemics, but a lab leak leading to a global pandemic would be a historically unprecedented event, and such claims would have to be supported by strong evidence, instead of circumstantial sensationalism. So just what does the former Brown University Dean of Public Health & White House COVID Czar consider to be “compelling evidence?”

On Twitter, Ashish Jha shares a tweet from former Clinton staffer and Joe Rogan podcast guest Jamie Metzl, a self-described “futurist” think-tank dork that regularly whines about the Democratic Socialists of America and has shared bizarre conspiracy theory videos produced by anonymous trolls under the banner “Project EPSTEIN.” Jamie also made a big deal out of asking an AI chatbot to “distill thousands of years of human wisdom into ten commandments” as “A New Moral Code for Humanity,” spinning an entire joke of a book out of it that he has pitched to churches and clergy.

So no, not a reliable source for medical and scientific information. Doubling down, Jha insists “no one in America knows for sure,” that “Anyone telling you they do is selling you something.” This is the rabbit hole that “Enlightened COVID Centrism” leads you down: Legitimizing absurd conspiracy theories based off of unscientific garbage you read on Twitter. So, it should come as no surprise that Ashish Jha is the one trying to sell you something: he has gone on to become the CEO of a generative AI scam start-up.

Public Health by Chatbot

Generative “Artificial Intelligence,” a broken, janky software that does not work to a reliable professional standard, has already become a public health crisis in multiple ways. This includes, but is certainly not limited to:

• Punching extra holes in peoples’ heads

• Generating child sexual abuse material

• Children receiving detailed guidance on how to take their own lives

• People boarding up their windows because the pollution of these data centers is physically unbearable

• Producing fraudulent citations in government reports

• A flood of dangerous medical disinformation across social media

As more and more of the general public turns against this exploitative matryoshka doll of scams, both leading Democrats and Republicans have insisted that this is the future, and that the public’s opinion simply does not matter. Seeing dollar signs in his eyes, Ashish Jha has decided to get in on this self-destructive reactionary spiral with a new AI-powered startup called “BioRadar,” playing directly to the lab leak crowd:

BioRadar promises to be “America’s AI Powered Biological Intelligence Service,” that will “detect emerging threats before they spread, characterize risk in real time, and deliver decision-ready intelligence,” alongside a Call to Action to “request a briefing” to receive “Mission-Grade Biological Intelligence,” as if this is like one of those crummy spy procedurals your boomer parents doze off to on CBS.

Jha’s BioRadar claims that “The world is saturated with high-risk labs: BSL-3 and BSL-4 facilities have doubled worldwide since 2020, across dozens of countries with widely varying biosafety oversight.” Major cities around the world have had virology research labs long before 2020, with zero lab leaks leading to global pandemics. Straight out of a Tom Clancy novel, they insist that “Engineering pathogens is now fast, cheap and accessible: What once required a nation-state now requires a lab bench. AI, synthetic biology, and gene editing have permanently lowered the barrier.” Needless to say, BioRadar provides no evidence to support this claim.

BioRadar Wants Your Tax Dollars

What is the unintentionally hilarious, and quite frankly most damning, is that the frontpage of BioRadar features a bizarre animated graph that claims to be tracking metrics such as “Wastewater,” “Behavioral,” “Syndromic,” and “Environmental,” with a “STATUS: NOMINAL” and “THREAT LVL: LOW” readout at the bottom. It more closely resembles the work of user interface designers for Hollywood blockbusters like Iron Man, The Dark Knight, or Prometheus than anything science based.

With Ashish Jha’s chatbot powered “mission grade biological intelligence,” it claims that they will convert “complex biological data into prioritized threat assessments, early warning alerts, and operational guidance for leaders” that will “establish normal biological profiles for each community,” as well as “visual intelligence dashboards and action-oriented operational guidance.” Just what might that operational guidance be?

Jha has some answers! Pitching to Pete Hesgeth’s Department of War Crimes, he insists that BioRadar’s genAI chatbot will “protect the warfighter.” Pitching to “Public Health Agencies,” BioRadar insists it will help them “Deploy targeted interventions instead of broad, damaging shutdowns,” and “build public confidence” in state & local governments. Let me explain to you how this will work, prospective government official looking to light taxpayer money on fire: Ashish Jha (or some other schmuck in BioRadar’s employ) is going to open Claude, ChatGPT, or some other sycophantic chatbot, and “prompt” it to generate a report with fancy looking graphs. This chatbot is then going to suck up other people’s research & data from across the Internet, butcher it, and then remix it to meet the demands of the prompt it’s given.

In a nutshell, Ashish Jha wants to take your tax money and give it directly to himself and the world’s most vile, reactionary tech companies in exchange for bastardized versions of other people’s work.

In the real world, we know what this will result in: fraudulent data, hallucinated citations, and horrific policymaking decisions that get people killed. It would be reasonable to assume that BioRadar is never going to put out a report recommending mask mandates or other non-pharmaceutical interventions in case something like H5N1 (bird flu) or other pandemic-level threats emerge again in our lifetimes. BioRadar will instead produce unscientific propaganda justifying a hands-off approach that gets countless people killed. If BioRadar’s “briefings” inform terrible policy decisions that get countless people killed, it’s likely that Ashish is going to shrug his shoulders & absolve himself of responsibility for selling a fraudulent service.

The only value of “BioRadar” is to point and laugh at it simply as yet another case study in how genAI is anything but intelligent.

Some issues are a matter of science. Some are a matter of politics. Now it’s worth remembering that The Atlantic has spent the COVID-19 pandemic becoming a central hub for the widespread distribution of medical disinformation. This flood of unscientific opinion editorials includes embarrassing diatribes such as:

The Atlantic did not learn any lessons from its years of enabling MAHA’s rise to power. Instead in 2026, they are green-lighting such garbage as “Public Health Needs MAHA,” by Craig Spencer, a once-respected medical professional from the same Brown University that turned a blind eye to the gross misconduct of faculty members Emily Oster and Ashish Jha. In it, Spencer unironically argues that public health is “too cautious, setting the bar for evidence too high,” and that they “must swallow its pride and admit where the insurgent movement is right.” This was met with considerable and predictable backlash, which led to a longform defense by podcaster Tom W. Johnson, host of Why Should I Trust You, titled: “Why Dr. Craig Spencer Got It Right: His article, ‘Public Health Needs MAHA,’ describes an opportunity. We see it too. His detractors are missing its message.”

What you might not know is that Craig has spent a considerable amount of time appearing on the podcast Why Should I Trust You alongside anti-vaccine propagandists Tom has gleefully invited on, such as Bret Weinstein, who has demanded public executions of doctors & scientists. Another WSITY guest is close associate of RFK Jr. and anti-vaccine propagandist Del Bigtree. Here is Bigtree inciting violence:

This is who Craig and Tom, two fellow well-off white men, want us to reach across the aisle and break bread with. Del Bigtree makes his money peddling lies and conspiracies that are completely detached from reality and has no incentive to ever admit error. Craig and Tom insist that this astroturfed “movement” is something we must approach with humility, admitting guilt to their many obscene accusations:

Craig is not alone in this. Katelyn Jetelina of the popular Substack Your Local Epidemiologist has also appeared on Why Should I Trust You? and written extensively about her time breaking break with MAHA reactionaries, whitewashing their actual beliefs with paywalled articles such as “What I’m learning from MAHA: And why public health needs to catch up with the curiosity-driven movement” - achieving nothing except producing free marketing for those actively campaigning to destroy public health in its entirety. This is a disservice to the public, a betrayal of professional colleagues, and to be frank: disgustingly exploitative of a crisis.

The Cowardice of Selective Amnesia

Craig Spencer opens his Atlantic screed by admitting that he spent hours upon hours subjecting himself to the manipulative propaganda of MAHA scam artists, not realizing that he himself is not impervious to their dishonest influence upon his thinking. He takes the side of MAHA, insisting that his professional colleagues in science and medicine are all foolish for refusing to legitimize their scams and ridiculous accusations. The only way you can possibly believe we can reach some sort of acceptable middle ground with MAHA is by willfully ignoring what they have actually said and done, such as using genAI to generate fraudulent citations:

This also requires that we ignore a mountain of dead children who have died of vaccine-preventable causes, simply because their parents were deceived by anti-vaccine scam artists such as Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Del Bigtree. Here is Scott and Tom’s buddy Bret Weinstein, not a pediatrician, arguing that children should receive zero vaccines on RFK Jr.’s anti-vax propaganda hub:

What is to be “learned” from someone who profits from spreading lies that result in absolutely nothing except dead children? There are countless stories of parents who were misled by these cranks and as a result having to bury their unvaccinated child after they suffered a painful, agonizing death caused by COVID-19. These horror stories have to be completely erased in order to even begin to pretend that there is anything we can learn from MAHA crackpots.

Instead, we should be listening to voices such as Beatrice Adler-Bolton and Artie Vierkamp of Death Panel, who clearly see MAHA for what it is: health fascism.

The Spectacle of MAHA Fascism

Since the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors, scientists, and public health officials have been the target of an unwavering onslaught of abuse, including harassment, death threats, and real-world violence (such as murder and mass shootings) incited by MAHA ringleaders such as Bret Weinstein & Del Bigtree. Their commitment to use violence & intimidation to suppress & censor the facts is an undeniably fascist tactic. Their ideology is rooted is eugenics, a fascist worldview, as explained by virologist James Alwine & epidemiologist Elizabeth Jacobs. They are not afraid to speak the truth:

It is completely obscene for someone like Tom W. Johnson, a podcaster with no real-world responsibility, to censor the actual beliefs of MAHA - including demands for show trials & public executions - while insisting that medical professionals should grovel on their hands and knees, prostrating themselves upon the MAHA altar. This podcaster insists that MAHA is not to blame for their own actions because public health is “shunning” and “lashing out” at them, and that “the smart thing to do” is a “mindset change” in which they engage in a “dialogue” with the same people who want to watch them die.

What Tom is doing, with the help of credentialed public health professionals such as Spencer and Jetelina, is profiting from the anti-vaccine war on science by mining the “controversy” for content. This is what is called “infotainment,” something James Spader’s Alan Shore was ranting about on Boston Legal over two decades ago as FOX News surged in popularity. Lending credibility to MAHA propagandists by insisting they have legitimate concerns & important, meaningful things to say is only made possible by completely erasing their actual words and actions. MAHA crackpots, who will believe any sensationalist conspiracy theory they hear on Twitter, are not going to be magically dissuaded by treating them with kid gloves or ignoring their bloodlust. Craig and Katelyn are betraying their professional colleagues and ultimately sabotaging their difficult work in order to elevate their own profiles.

The sad reality is Craig and Katelyn have abandoned any sort of commitment to science and medicine to instead pursue a career in becoming media figures, without a care for who gets hurt as a result. They are helping MAHA figureheads spread their exploitative propaganda & profit from scamming the public. It’s shameful, insulting, and frankly obscene. It’s Spencer and Jetelina, not their colleagues in public health, who need to go back to class and learn just what happens to those who choose to collaborate with fascists.

After losing the War on Influenza, Secretary of Whimsy Pete Hesgeth has now mandated jabs of testosterone in servicemembers over 30 that do not pass unnecessary and invasive screenings. Now if you’ll remember, rage against government mandated injections was a major sticking point of the “Make America Healthy Again” anti-vaccine war on science, and Trump supporters as a whole. Suddenly, these howling jackals are all silent when the government is mandating jabs that can result in a number of nasty side effects that come from abusing hormone injections. These very manly health complications include:

• Acne (show me your war face!)

• Increased risk of blood clots (great in times of blood-pumping danger!)

• Increased risk of heart attacks and strokes (who needs a bleeding heart in a war?)

• Testicular atrophy (ow!)

• Gynecomastia (aka excessive breast development in males)

You should also understand that when your body receives more testosterone than it can process, your body converts that into estrogen, which is considered a feminine, wimpy hormone that our “warfighters” should have zero amount of. These are very serious medical decisions that should not be made by doctors, not social media blowhards desperate to perform masculinity on the taxpayer’s dime. After decades of humiliation from Vietnam to the Middle East, in which America’s armed forces can produce little more than a mountain of slaughtered civilians, the Trump Administration is regressing into flaccid dick-waving pageantry.

Why are these protestors nowhere to be found in 2026? Where are their leaders? In the federal government, you say? Cowardly censoring themselves? Why, that’s impossible! Just years ago, you couldn’t get them to shut up!

The Eternal Cowardice of Lockdown Jay

Now if you’ve been paying attention, it should be shocking that National Institutes of Health (and Not-Acting CDC Director) Jay Bhattacharya has not resigned in protest, after wasting so many years on social media screeching and howling about mandated injections. Neither has Martin Kulldorff, or anyone else who exploited the COVID-19 pandemic to promote themselves and rise to power under the “Make America Healthy Again” banner. As it turns out, they were simply performing for a captive audience and aren’t actually opposed to the government mandating harmful injections!

On top of this, Bhattacharya has also been silent about the harmful impacts of his favorite virus against our armed forces, including serious complications such as Long COVID. Lockdown Jay has previously attacked such credible medical research, branding them “Covidian,” and he has abandoned all of his principals to destroy the freedoms of everyday Americans he has received awards for pretending to defend.

This is doubly embarrassing for the academics of prominent universities such as Princeton & opinion editorial pundits of outlets such as The New York Times, including: Ross Douthat, Zeynep Tufekci, Ashish Jha, Emily Oster, Stephen Macedo, Frances Lee, and others who have insisted that Jay Bhattacharya was a serious, credible person whose useless online petition was based in sound science, instead of obnoxious crankery. Jay Bhattacharya’s silence as the Administration he serves mandates harmful injections is deafening, and a final death knell in not only his own credibility, but the credibility of everyone who publicly defended this obnoxious social media troll and taxpayer-funded podcast guest.

The Sunk Credibility Fallacy

These “intellectual influencers” (thanks, Juan Pabo Pardo-Guerra) are silent as well, offering no apologies for the consequences of the quackery they legitimized and elevated. Whenever they open their mouth to comment on any issue in the future, remind them immediately that they went to bat for an absolute fraud who believes in absolutely nothing, letting themselves be seduced by an obscene charlatan who will say anything to promote himself. Thus, whatever they might have to say about the issues of our time is completely worthless until they are willing to make amends and offer apologies to those of us who tried to warn the public.

The reputation of Stanford University, which previously employed Bhattacharya as a member of faculty and hosting a COVID-19 disinformation artist playdate before publicly congratulating him on his nomination to National Institutes of Health Director, is also permanently stained. Turning a blind eye to the immature, anti-scientific antics of a social media troll in your employ, only to celebrate his ascension into overseeing demolition of federal funding for critical research that will inevitably end with the demolition of the world’s leading hub for scientific research, is a pathetic legacy for a once highly respected university.

All so a narcissistic podcaster can hog the spotlight atop the colossal mess he has made for others to one day try and clean up.

If you’re somebody who wasted the years between 2020-2024 insisting that the initial signers of a useless online petition written by the American Institute for Enterprise Research, including an economist who struggles with basic arithmetic, a crackpot who branded people protecting themselves from COVID-19 to be dangerous “anti-herders” in April 2020, and an erotic fiction writer were serious, credible scientists whose “concerns” about any form of public health intervention - all branded “lockdowns” - then you are a mark who got worked into a shoot on behalf of reactionary billionaires. You should be embarrassed. You need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself just how you let yourself get fooled by such chicanery, and work on ensuring that you won’t let yourself be made a fool of again.

Answering the Booty Call of Duty

Without handwaving away the atrocities our armed forces have inflicted across the world, killing tens of millions of innocent people across dozens of countries since the end of the Second World War, America’s frontline soldiers have developed all sorts of serious, long-term health issues in service of absurd, unwinnable crusades for the profit of arms manufacturers and private contractors ripping off the American taxpayer. Limbs blown off, skin melted off, chunks of their skull removed, PTSD, Gulf War Syndrome, etc. - and the idea that adding to this by mandating potentially harmful and completely unnecessary hormone injections is utterly obscene. Is the government mandating America’s “warfighters” roll the dice on infertility and developing massive honkers going to suddenly turn us into the world’s greatest fighting force? Here’s a bold guess: Probably not.

Secretary of Whimsy Pete Hesgeth is turning the military into pageantry; a performance of what his childish perception of masculinity, informed by Hollywood and Call of Duty, thinks being a “warfighter” is. Ironically enough, he is validating the criticism that gender is largely cultural and performative, instead of rooted in some sort of binary. This impotent chest-beating as we slaughter innocent fishermen and schoolgirls does nothing except show how truly weak America is.

It should come as no surprise that the weak-minded, weak-willed Jay Bhattacharya, who stands for absolutely nothing but hearing the sound of his own voice, is gleefully proud to be part of such a colossal national failure.

By now, you have no doubt heard about the contaminated lettuce that is causing explosive diarrhea all across the country via Cycloporiasis. It has spawned memes about “the parasite” haunting the nation’s grocery stores, restaurants, and general food supply. Like clockwork, economist Emily Oster has taken to The New York Times to insist that yet another public health crisis is actually no big deal, and a scare invented by the fearmongering media:

It’s worth noting that FOX News and other reactionary blowhards at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic also used this same logic to downplay the threat. On the Substack blog Emily Oster calls herself the “CEO” of, Oster has compared media reporting on pediatric COVID-19, which has killed and disabled countless American children, to that of shark attacks. Her latest screed in The New York Times is employing this same tactic of downplaying the significance of any threat to the public’s health.

Why does Oster do this? As an economist who no real medical or scientific credentials, who is paid to write her opinion in the newspaper, Oster is far removed from the consequences of her words. One of the core tenets of modern American economics theory - following in the footsteps of vile racist Milton Friedman - is that government intervention and regulation, in any form, is stifling the economy and a grave trespass against freedom. This includes prohibiting the sale of unpasteurized (or “raw”) milk, which provides zero nutritional benefit and has put numerous children in the hospital, something Emily Oster has said we shouldn’t be concerned with - as exploitative scam artists call themselves “pioneers.”

These cyclospora outbreaks are caused by feces contamination and inhumane working conditions, and a lack of regulation enforcing sufficient sanitation. So no, you shouldn’t be surprised to see an economist influencer defending the conditions which has led to thousands of Americans nearly shitting themselves to death. How else will she get funding from wealthy corporate executives who are united in pursuing a dismantling of government regulations?

I have warned since the very beginning of this second Trump administration that eliminating federal regulatory authority in its entirety, and this would naturally result in compromising our food supply. Unfortunately, this process did not begin in January 2025, as a 2024 listeria outbreak which killed 10 Americans can be directly linked to meddling by the Biden Administration in the wake of a hands-off pandemic response which killed and disabled millions of Americans. From a September 2024 report by Alexander Tin of CBS News:

To be in compliance with food safety regulations, a company has to expense some percentage of their budget. In an economy focused on infinite, often unsustainable growth, eliminating all “unnecessary” expenses becomes a priority. If thousands of Americans have to nearly shit themselves to death, that’s a sacrifice they should be willing to make for the glorious economy. It’s worth noting that ancient pagan societies routinely practiced human sacrifice in the hopes that the Gods would deliver a good harvest.

What Oster is doing on behalf of her wealthy benefactors, including MAGA-aligned billionaires such as Peter Thiel and Mark Zuckerberg, is selling the public on accepting a higher threshold of sickness and death from future viral outbreaks caused by climate collapse, and a contaminated food supply caused by reckless deregulation. It also gives RFK Jr. cover from accepting any responsibility for what a major part of his job as the Secretary of Health and Human Services is. Modern American economics theory does not comprehend that one of the essential pillars of a strong economy is the American people knowing that spending their hard-earned dollars at the grocery store won’t poison their children. It haphazardly argues that this relentless pursuit of unsustainable short-term economic growth at all costs will trickle down into prosperity for all, even as America’s disparities grow worse year after year.

These aren’t wise economic insights, nor well-informed public health guidance. It’s the same unrepentant calmmongering rooted in a hands-off, do-nothing approach to public health that Emily Oster has championed for decades, being wrong on everything from Hepatitis B to HIV/AIDS to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome to COVID-19 to raw milk, and now an increasingly contaminated food supply. She has even gone so far as to argue that the precautionary principle of public health is oppressive to women in defense of drinking during pregnancy. As a wealthy and comfortable empty-headed pundit, there is no bottom that will be a line too far for Oster. Emily Oster is a complete fraud; a broken record who should be rambunctiously laughed out of the room whenever she opens her mouth. Shame upon The New York Times and every other media outlet that continues to platform her as a serious, legitimate voice.

Regardless of whatever tired, old Friedman era myths you’ve heard, the market is not going to magically regulate itself. It will justify selling poisoned food on the marketplace if it saves a few bucks, and everyday Americans need to simply shoulder the burden for the wealth and luxury of a few, no matter what form that comes in, even if happens to be explosive diarrhea.

You don’t need to be a bloodless quant to see how absurd this is.

Adam Tooze’s The Wages of Destruction: The Making and Breaking of the Nazi Economy was published in 2006 by Penguin Books.

Upon hearing the shocking news that RFK Jr., a supposed man of the people, is now reduced to goofing off on his phone on the taxpayer dime, I was reminded of a wonderful book on my to-read list that I needed to finish. Adam Tooze’s The Wages of Destruction: The Making and Breaking of the Nazi Economy is an incredible work that should be required reading for every American. It dispels a number of post-war myths about the Nazi war machine and really puts into perspective just how doomed the Third Reich was from the very beginning.

There’s an incredible number of parallels between Adam Tooze’s history of Hitler’s failed quest to turn Eastern Europe into Germany’s version of Manifest Destiny and the HHS Secretary’s “Make America Healthy Again” agenda; another foolish attempt to reshape the world. Both are stalwart believers that the federal government exists to turn public taxpayer dollars into private profits:

You can see similar parallels with the MAHA promise to crush “wokeness” and “DEI” across the board, with the full backing of the state. Vaccine scientist Dr. Peter Hotez has identified the MAHA agenda is little more than a federal handout to anti-vaccine scam artists, wellness grifters, and other crackpots. More importantly, Hitler’s project had support similar to the many “MAHA” doctors like Joseph Marine or Vinay Prasad. One study has found that doctors were first in line to join the Nazi Party:

Most important of all is that both RFK Jr. and the Nazi leadership are notorious, exploitative scam artists. The fact that the Volkswagon automobile brand is still allowed to operate today should be a personal affront to every decent human being:

Not a single American will be made healthier by RFK Jr., either.

Lots of Planes

A great deal of Nazi economic policy came down to making up a bunch of fake numbers and hoping nobody looks too deeply into them, something that both Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and acting CDC/NIH Director “Lockdown” Jay Bhattacharya commit frequently. This is not a wise strategy when you are attempting to conquer all of Europe, or simply hold a serious grown-up job in the federal government:

The truth is that Hitler’s Germany never possessed the industrial capacity to truly conquer Europe, especially caught between the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union. No matter how long the war was stretched out, the project was doomed to fail from the very beginning. Nobody wanted to lose their spot in Hitler’s cool kids’ club, however, and the absurd fantasies continued:

This vision thankfully never came to pass. The harsh reality is that Hitler, much like RFK Jr., had no clue what he is doing:

Neither RFK Jr. or Jay Bhattacharya or any MAHA sycophant has ever had a coherent view of COVID-19 or other public health matters. They simply wanted to destroy others, all while portraying themselves as the real victim of some sort of grand international conspiracy, be it Jewish or otherwise.

RFK Jr. never had a coherent plan to “Make America Healthy Again,” either. Instead, he engaged in numerous obnoxious social media stunts, which included publishing an edited photo of himself wearing the face tattoo of a convinced rapist. This improved zero Americans’ health.

Hitler also had another problem; a sort of Eldritch horror looming on the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean: the oversized disembodied head of President Franklin Delanor Roosevelt, who wielded the power of the state to manufacture an unhealthy number of warplanes for himself and all his friends:

Hitler’s Luftwaffe was producing around 10,000 planes per year at their peak, and simply getting shot down faster than they could be replaced. They also faced a severe shortage of fresh recruits, the same recruitment crisis the United States military is now facing while RFK Jr. is obsessing over the sperm of young boys:

Luckily, those young warriors would have the air cover provided by the amazing engineering feats of the Luftwaffe, such as...

One could reasonably predict that RFK Jr.’s peptides obsession and Pete Hesgeth pumping the troops full of hormones will likely end the very same way.

Flaming Out for Christmas

Well, that’s okay, even if top Luftwaffe brass are shooting themselves after horrifying defeat after defeat. Because we’ve got the next best thing: horseys!

Somehow, winter jackets did not make the inventory list:

Obviously, it’s their own darn fault for all that feminizing woke soy in their diet! Regardless, it’s important to compare the insistence of MAHA figureheads like Mehmet Oz who insist you have a civic duty to be healthy for the economy’s sake, with the inherent contradictions of the reactionary Reich:

From the domestic terror campaign carried out by ICE, to the work requirements for food stamps, it’s blatantly clear that the MAHA Agenda has been caught up in these same inherent contradictions. A drug-addled, half-dying Hitler insisted that this cruelty would inevitably pay off massive dividends for private industry:

Well, that didn’t quite happen now, did it? However, this is the same “Golden Era” promised by Trump and RFK Jr. - that by crushing the “degenerates” America’s economy will finally be “great again.” Just as Hitler was forced to retreat to the dank shadows of his bunkers, RFK Jr. is now hiding in his smartphone, totally cuckolded by the reality that no, you can’t turn America into a vaccine-free petri dish for pestilence overnight. But hey, he got the woke food DEI out of ice cream and the fries are drowning in beef tallow again!

The MAHA Legacy

RFK Jr. seriously thought he could walk into the office of HHS Secretary and with no real pushback destroy the pediatric vaccine schedule, guaranteeing that many more American children die of vaccine-preventable causes. That all of America would march in lockstep in service of his narcissistic vision with the full authority of the Trump Administration behind him, is a complete farce and further goes to show how little in touch he is with reality.

Tragically, just like Hitler, RFK Jr. will ultimately be responsible for millions of deaths by the end of his term in office. That responsibility is shared by everyone past and present who enthusiastically went to work under Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. - which includes University of California San Francisco Professor Vinay Prasad, who is now back on Sensible Medicine attacking anti-depressants, in alignment with the HHS Secretary’s agenda to “Make America Healthy Again” by taking away lifesaving medication.

Both Hitler and RFK Jr. believe in the elimination of “inferiors,” and any enthusiastic participant in the MAHA scam should be forced to wear a permanent mark of shame for the rest of their pitiful, pathetic lives. As it turns out, the anti-vaccine crackpots are right - America is going to need its own Nuremberg trials.

Except it’ll have to be for their “heroes.”

Perhaps if you’re some sort of freakin’ commie or terrorist or illegal, you might have missed the news this past weekend that freedom-loving America got her big, beautiful taint locked down on her freakin’ birthday! Whatever happened to “Protect the Vulnerable,” Lockdown Jay? Why are you suddenly silent about this latest grave government assault on personal liberty?! Or was it all just bold talk from a coward hiding behind a keyboard?! Or did you secretly foster a kink for ruining children’s essential experiences just like all the “Covidians” you once raged against?! Tell the American taxpayer the truth!

Sure, we fired all of the weather scientists who could have predicted such a calamity might happen, based upon random accusations of “woke” and “DEI,” and yes, we put in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency someone who gets off on destroying the environment, but how dare you suggest that there are negative consequences for our poor choices?! Was “No More Lockdowns” just a joke, Mr. CDC/NIH Director? Or was it all just a ruse for your real agenda, MALA Man?! Yeah, that’s right! Make America Lockdown Again! That’s what this was all about! Everybody suddenly wanted to hear what this useless health economist had to say in 2020, and now, nobody could care less for your impotent prattling! So now you gotta get big bad Trump to ruin the Fourth of July just so we’re all stuck at home reading yet another one of your useless opinion editorials about what an amazing job you’re doing!

To Make America Great Again, to build the greatest economy mankind has ever seen, we have to smoke up so many dinosaur bones that children start coughing up a storm when they play outside again, damnit! And that means more pandemics like COVID-19! It means more chaotic weather events! We’re gonna have to learn to live, and yes die, with new viruses and more chaotic weather events so that we don’t lose the next Cold War to Lockdown China!

So Lockdown Jay needs to stop hiding behind the podcast microphone and get out there and start speaking to the masses in hurricane force winds!

I thought the whole point of Making America Healthy Again, and obsessing over the sperm of young boys, was so that we could have a big beautiful nation of strong young white men who can handle a few pesky raindrops! Or are these big mouthed ranters nothing more than a bunch of economic girly-men?! Now the whole world is laughing at our cowardice!
